It is getting sent back! My 7L wotoncraft, pilot, shoulder bag.

- It saddens me to be sending my 7L pilot shoulder camera bag back. As an great little event bag, Every day carry every were bag this thing is almost perfect except one thing that annoys the PG's out of me.
Same issue here. The more I use mine the less it hangs up. Like mine too much to send back or let them refund me. Really like the bag. The pockets are quite small, but that’s part of the reason I went with the smaller 7L. Feel your pain. I’m keeping and using mine. Keep us updated on your experience. Thanks for the video.

Can you share you’re experience with the rubber lens hood an the XF 50-140mm please ?
Absolutely! My daughters softball is starting here in a few weeks and I will be able to give some better real life experience. So far it is short enough it fits better. One down side though is being rubber it doesn't slide as easily in tight (pockets) for lack of better term.

I received it (7L) today. I like it very much, but have the same issue. To unzip and zip it, I have to push the molle part down with my other hand. Without doing it, it cut the molle part and does not move. Not sure what to do. I hope the issue can be solved as time goes..
I did hear back from Wotoncraft and they are looking into my bag and seeing if they can find a solution. They said they are going to try and fix it. So I am excited to see what they come up with. I really miss that bag and needed it this weekend. Thank you for watching and giving your input. I will do my best to keep everyone posted.
How long did it take to process and ship from Taiwan?
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Communication and determination that it would be sent back was like one or two days with only 3 or 4 emails total.
The shipping was around a week each way. An extra 4 days because I didn't have the customs sheet with it. So just under one month total from the day it left my house till the day I got it back lol.
Not sure why you’d make a critical video about a problem when they’re trying to help you fix it. Not exactly the appreciate a brand would want after trying to help you
So people can actually see that this company did help and was more than willing on making things right. You have to have drama to get the views so you can share the information.
Does anyone reckon you can get an R5 with the rf100-400 stood on end in this?
I wish I had one I could test out. I will see if a camera store I stop at on vaca will let me test it here in a few weeks.
@@fuelediowa I've bought this and the 3.5 litre version both fit the R5 in with a rf100-400 in stood on end. The 3.5 still has room as well for a rf50 lens, a couple of batteries tucked into the velcro elastic pouch you can buy as well. Peak design leash. And that's without using the front and back zip pockets.
The 3.5 is great for size really.
I may swap out the shoulder strap though, it's crap compared to peak design straps for comfort. It's ok... Just ok.

My 7L looks more like the side that has not rolled up, but I have a similar issue and my zipper will get caught about the same spot as yours but it seems it is more from that triangular gusset just above where yours rolled up. It does it to a lesser extent closing the zipper when it meets the opposite triangular gusset. That said I never access that pocket on the go as you do with one hand so my usual method of opening is not too big an issue but still not really smooth. I think if they did away with the hidden zippers under that pocket the bag would be more usable and it is really a tight pocket the way it is now. I do think I would try and get a clear response as to their intent with the return since you like the bag.

I need to find me a good one to have. They are iconic and so many have copied a lot of the design Q's for a reason.

I have the 7L Pilot and do not have this issue at all. Seems to me that your issue and Wotancraft's response only provides another excellent testament to how good the company and their products are. It's a pity that you have this problem but perhaps this will lead to a slight change in design by Wotancraft if indeed it is necessary. I think you should send it back so that they can determine if a small design modification is required or simply replace your bag because of a one-off fault Must say this bag is my favourite all-time camera bag, and I have had more than a few. Just ask my wife!

Jeez, stop complaining about little issues like that! With big hands like yours, stick with larger bags. Hard to zip, use both hands.
Fair point. But now you know the info. I did do a follow up where Wotoncraft did actually fix it. It is an awesome bag that can hold everything most people would need for a whole weekend. Lol thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I greatly appreciate it.
