I know! That’s way before my time. But I did get a chance to see some of those playground toys. Some are kept as collectibles. I’ve seen them in people’s back yards before!
Wow this was an eye opener. I actually failed to notice that youre right…i cant recall the last time ive seen one of these retro ones?! I think there is one in my state but now im gonna have to double check. Wow they really did pull a fast one, and they really are disappearing before we can even blink actually lol. Great video as always. Thank you.
Yeah that was exactly the message I was trying to put out there! In my state- this is the last of the mansard roof ones so in NJ we will soon never see them again for sure. Sad.
Thanks! … I believe McDonald’s is essentially unequivocally “forcing” the updates. From what I’m told, McDonald’s refuses to “help or financially” assist with upkeeping the retro style restaurants and offers incentives for the upgrades. With that cost in mind- I do understand why the owners sometimes really have no choice but to upgrade. But it doesn’t make McDonald’s a fun place to remember anymore - now it’s just another bland fast food restaurant with no flair. Sad. Thx so much for watching!
@@explore.evermore I completely agree! I hope that at some point they realize that people visited them to remember good times. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
I hope they don’t get rid of this one in Fair Lawn as this one is the closest to my house. I’m from saddle Brook though which is the next town over. I went to one in Pine Brook that was new and the old building that was there looked like it used to be a bank. It’s really sad these interesting McDonalds are being demolished.
Where in Paramus was that Mc Donald's? Looks like 17. I went to the Mc Ds in Fair Lawn as a kid. I live not far from there. Next to the IHOP that caught fire and was closed for a while. Still go to the Jiffy Lube across the street 😮. It's unfortunate that they can't leave things like they were. 😢
@@qbrown4239 the Paramus is on Rt 17. Yeah it’s so weird that the Fair Lawn which was NJ’s first McDonald’s might end up being NJ’s LAST retro McDonald’s. World is a changin’……
It’s actually kinda how I feel too. But it’s going to be very weird not seeing a red or green or brown roof top ever again. I mean it’s already weird. But even seeing just these last few is bittersweet. The vibe is not the same in the new ones it feels like a different world, which it is of course.
Riigghht …. What is wrong with you……that was a cute insert made from an editor program….. that wasn’t even me but nice try….maybe you shouldn’t be allowed to type and make ridiculous pointless comments.
I always enjoy seeing old fast food buildings. It’s a shame they’re all pretty much gonna be gone
It’s like a retro apocalypse….
❤❤❤❤❤ I loveyou❤
Yup. I shed a tear! At least we will have this video memorializing these retro mcdonalds! Thank you !!!
It’s definitely eye opening to us retro lovers! I can’t believe NJ may soon not even have 1 retro McDonald’s. That’s mind boggling.
The real retro Mc Donald's had an all metal outdoor playground of all the characters

Great video! Those were the good old days 😢 What are the Mcdonald's owners thinking? 👎

You shoul;d get a ticket for letting the dog sit on your lap and steer the car. Belongs in the back seat
