Dr. Mandakini Prakash Amte

Satkarmayogi is someone who is pious, performs duty with full devotion for the benefit of the Universe. This Satkarmayogi Episode is dedicated to a lady from a family of Satkarmayogi’s.
Dr. Mandakini Prakash Amte was born as Mandakini Vasant Deshpande. She completed her MBBS from Nagpur & did her post-graduation in Anaesthesia. She married to Dr. Prakash Amte who was a surgeon from the same college.
The couple dedicatedly worked for Lok Biradari Prakalp at Hemalkasa in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra.
It was a social project started on 23 December 1973, by the social worker, Padma Vibhushan Shri. Baba Amte for integrated development of Madia Gond.
Once upon a time where there was a barren land with no water, electricity, residential units the couple along with like-minded supporters converted that land into a miraculous resource centre.
Their work has been internationally recognised and received praises world-wide. It is one of the most inspirational centre.
