I honestly think it’s because people were saying Zendaya and Timothee like each other and it probably made her uncomfortable so in front of cameras she just keeps it a tone down if that makes sense
I think she friend zoned Timothee. In some interviews for Dune 1 he was way too fond of giving her compliments and she got awkward. Mike and Josh treat her like a sister and BFF.
