Good video, Tim. the Cent-Jours is my favourite simply due to being a great resource for the 100 Days. Like you my main issue is the lack of rear images and packs, I also find it hard to differentiate between yellow and gold from the images. But they are both minor issues.
Nice selection of web site...thank you! I was inspired by your video a few years back on building a Portuguese army. Curious if you did any follow-up videos on converting cavalry figures for the Portuguese? Was looking at using the Perry British Light Dragoon plastics...love the helmet look. Thanks again.
Always a great resource your channel for the napoleonic wars great work I'm painting italians at moment will check out the websites you suggested many thanks
I used Cent Jours a lot making my Hanoverians and KGL force as they were built in their 1815 uniforms For Russians there was a archived website with extraordinary information on facings and accouterments Russian Facings of the Napoleonic Wars, it was there not long ago but now a mess of text A limited site on Russian Hussars only that I know is at Wikipedia, it shows uniforms and horse furniture
Great vid as always! My one, very entitled, complaint about the Perry's is their website doesn't have any background to their models on it. There are so many cool models that I just don't know enough about to actually buy.
For uniform visuals other than Paul L Dawson's research can be found with Knotel, Carl Franklin's books and Peter Bunde's uniform plates. Please do make extensive use of listed sources to cross-reference the credibility of more commonly found visual representations of period uniforms. I've heard a fair bit of criticism of Knotel's Uniformenkunde and Carl Franklin but I'm quite sure Franklin get's most of his details correct.

@@jeromekammerer4733 I asked it 3 questions 2 on the basic uniform of the Prussian and Russian musketeer 1815 - it was pretty accurate. I then asked it to list the Prussian Dragoon Rgts of 1815 and their facing colours - it was 100% wrong. Russian Roulette it is.

That was great, really useful, and the Impressions could end up a favourite.

If you like playing russian roulette or very vague statements then Chat GPT is the tool to go.
