I love the video...I built custom treads and used your measurements. However I have an issue with my 8th tread, it is only 5'6" below the joist...I would very much appreciate your advice.
@@DaleD-r5w did you make the landing platform (same level as a deck floor)? The landing is needed to avoid the staircase to turn under the deck's joist
@@accentironwork Thank you for responding...I was trying to go parallel to the deck...It is not possible with the floor joist. My customer did not want the stairs to impede the downstairs view...I very much appreciate your beautiful work. So I am going to make a small step at the top, and move the post 12" outside the deck...That gives me a 6'4" clearance...
Do you just take the required circumference and divide by 12 to get your outside radius per tread? I have a job my boss has priced for with a spiral staircase and am just trying to figure out the basics before we dive in and screw it up haha
The outer radius of the tread depends only on the selected outer diameter of the stairs, the diameter of the handrail and the size of the baluster's material. Minimum aisle width (distance between inside of a handrail and outside wall of a center post) 26" by code.
All drawings are shown and explained in the videos (part #1, part #2, part #3). Also you can fined those drawings in metric if you will go to my channel, select other Playlist (in Spanish)...
Please put a guard on that angle grinder, that’s seriously dangerous, especially if the disc shatters. If you are going to post a video, you should be setting a good example.
Can't work with a guard. It blocks my view. Have been doing it for 18 years. No problems if to use a good quality cut-off disks. Same with a safety glasses... I had 3 time an eye's injury, but all ways when I've been using a safety glasses. Maybe it's just me )

Super work
Very good.
Nice, I can’t wait to see how one is installed in a house within a cavity.
Have been doing it for 15 years. Every 2-3 weeks a spiral goes out of the door. All of them fit like a glove with out any mistakes
I need to remove a 50
Year old one from a house to repair the welds.
But I can’t figure out how to get it out of the stairwell.
Just what I have been looking for, thanks
Thanks bro
Thanks buddy. I'm going to build one now. You're using 3 1/2" sch. 40. That's what I'm going to use
What is the name of the plasma cutting table you have to cut the threads and which one would you reccommend getting? Thank you for your good videos!
PlasmaCAM

I wouldn't recommend it. It has some software issues.
Get 10 feet long table, not 4'x4' like I have.
Gracias 🙏

Would like to see blueprints while building this 🤔
How do I come up with measurements

How much does one of these cost roughly?

My grandpa uses tire rims to bend metal for spiral staircases lmao
does he heat it with oxyacetylene while bending the tube?
