I've known Jacob for over a decade, ever since he was enrolled into high school. He made everyone's lives better and I am so so grateful for his parents for having created someone as pure as Jacob. I miss him every day and listen to his music on repeat. He lives forever 💖

You can talk to your kid's till your blue in the face ~ kids will do whatever they want. Kid's feel bullet proof. We had 5 young people die together in a park from fentanyl. It's so sad. 😢
Exactly! The more of these videos I watch, the more I think that there is nothing you can do to prevent this. Especially with laced pills, a tragedy like this is just one stupid teenage decision away. If they don't die immediately, the suffering is prolonged for the entire family until the person dies anyway. The percentage of people escaping drug addiction is just heartbreakingly low.
You will see and be with Jacob again. That is a promise from Jesus. Jacob was a believer.

Mr. and Mrs. Mundaca, I am very, very sorry for your loss! I am a high school teacher and I believe that your story needs to be shared in the classroom. I work and teach at a high school in Los Angeles. Our student population is predominantly Hispanic. Last year our school staff was offered training in the use of NARCAN. I couldn't believe itI I was shocked by it. I first heard of fentanyl in 2019 when it took the life of professional baseball player Tyler Skaggs. But prior to that, it was a foreign word to me. However, now more than ever, this poison is killing so many of our teens and young adults. It's truly frightening! I am not a mother but as a high school teacher I am very concerned about this widespread endemic crushing our country. I am respectfully requesting your permission to share your story in the classroom. I am also interested in any online educational resources you may have knowledge. Dad's analogy of driving off that cliff into a big, deep hole hit me. The pain these parents must deal with every single day would be so difficult. I can only hope that they make it out of the darkness. 🖤

He is in rehab now but they said he doesn't seem very interested. I have been praying non stop. I wish I could make the choices and take the burden for my son Geno but as anyone reading this knows, it's up to him. We lost our son due to an fentanyl overdosed in 2021…he was 19…we all have to understand that is up to them to want the change… if they don’t want to chance there is nothing we can do…we helped them all the way he allowed us to help him. We are at peace… God is never wrong, everything happens when it needs to happen…best wishes to you and your son… don’t be hard on yourself… God has control of everything always 😊

He might need medication for a LONG time. methadone or suboxone his brain is changed - do not shame him or look at this as an addiction. It works!! I have 15 years of recovery. I couldn’t have done it without medical assistance. It was a long, expensive hard journey. Worth it

My question is: Nobody used Narcan just in the case that it was Fentanyl as it is so prevalent now? These days are not like experimenting with drugs back in the day. These days chances are Fentanyl is in every non prescription pill. This is a major crisis in America and needs to be treated as such. I'm so sorry for the murder of Jacob. God bless your family.

EMT may have not gotten there soon enough. Also, his GF may not have known it was a possible overdose.

We're not familiar enough with Suboxone to speak about it with any credibility. I'm only familiar with "film strips" for testing the presence of fentanyl.

Great slogan ! However, it takes a whole lot less than one pill bearing in mind that Fentanyl is 100 times stronger than morphine. Take a HB 10 pencil ( used by school pupils, artists & most every one else) sharpen said pencil, moisten, then gently dip into the illicit Fentanyl.
The amount of Fentanyl on the pencil can & will kill a person.
Then imagine how much a tablet might contain when a
unadulterated amount is added to the preparation. It is worth noting that some are pure Fentanyl. Medical grade Fentanyl, used appropriately has proven invaluable beyon
expectation. As a clinician I see the head count rising it's frightening.

You tried your best to guide Jacob and your other children, and you gave them good advice. Jacob accidentally took a pill which was misrepresented to him. He never intended to leave you, but now, he sits at the table with God and Jess Christ.

I’m sorry for your loss. So many loved ones have died with this horrible drug. My mom’s youngest brother passed away in April, 2021 from fentanyl. We were the same age and actually grew up like brother and sister. It was a shock and just caused an overwhelming sense of sadness, guilt, anger and shock through out the family. We were struggling, all in our own ways, with his passing, but watching my grandma go through this was painful. He was her baby and till this day, she struggles. Our family definitely changed. He was such an amazing, loving human being. Had 3 small kids at the time. His life seemed to gave spiraled down very quickly about the last 3 years before he died. He seemed to be improving, even going on a camping trip 3 weeks before with the whole family where we got to be with him, since it was rare to see him at family events. I don’t just say this to say this, he truly was a great soul and so special and amazing and there will always be a missing piece to our family t without him here.

I‘m really sorry for their loss, Jacob seemed to be a great person and he instantly was extremely sympathetic to me because he was a drummer like myself. The picture of him sitting behind the Gretsch Dum set -> 😍🙏
From all the things Jacob‘s parents said about him, he must have been a very talented and gifted person and that he was greatly loved by everyone.
The only thing (and I said this many times before, I‘m really not a very religious person) I think helps Jacob‘s parents is the belief that he is now at a better place 🥺

I'm from across the pond in the United Kingdom. Fentnyl is used in the United Kingdom as treatment for pain relief
A lot of women who are undergoing a cesarean section have an epidural with Fentnyl, but it's a tiny dose because it's an anathetic it's also used as a general anathetic combined with inhalation anathetics

I know there are no words to describe how you feel. Your hearts just breaks esp. when you find out it was just one poison pill that took him. I put myself in your place bc I have 2 sons who also have children and one of them almost died of an overdose. My question is: who gives that dealer the pills, they apparently come from China so somewhere along the line they know they could kill. Mixing drugs in itself is extremely dangerous. Doing coke so he's super hyper then wants to take a downer that puts you at a very dangerous state. Very sad 😢

I don't believe it starts with Marijuana. I believe it's a mental health issue and or physical pain. The majority of fentanyl poisoning, they have a history of looking for taking their pain away whether mental or physical well-being. Marijuana doesn't do that.
