Before this season started, I named 2024 year as the season of redemption, not just after what happened last year in the playoffs, but certain players underperformed in a couple games, and then bounced back the games after that, Jared Goff, perfect example. This is a season of writing our wrongs, and proving the people who doubted us saying we won’t be as good as last year, or saying that last year was a fluke. We will prevail! Keep hope alive. 🦁💙
I love your confidence, and I hope you're right, but don't underestimate how difficult the NFC path to the Superbowl will be. There are a lot of good teams in the NFC. The Lions happen to be the best one, so GO LIONS!
this game is absolute must win game! it’s in our division plus you can’t be sleeping on the bears either! they almost beat the commanders, chiefs, packers, an the lions due to the last very moments of the game.
A team must “ have what it takes” to win a Super Bowl. It is a complex collection of many things. Chicago is a must win for the Lions. If they don’t win, it would be a clear signal that they do not have what it takes.
Not necessarily. Every week the IR list should reduce. You get these guys back added with the new fresh legs they obtained, I think they were looking ahead. The fresh legs will be competing with the others coming off injured reserve. If they look better I’m sure the coaching staff will put them on the active roster. Getting injured is not just about recouping but proving to the coaching staff you are ready to go.
@ I agree that every player back from IR will really help. But still. Anything the bears can throw at us, the playoff teams will throw at us times 10. If Detroit can’t handle Chicago, I don’t think they’ll have a chance of handling three or four straight high-quality playoff teams. I’m not saying I would give up if the Lions lose to Chicago. I will be there wildly cheering every game every year.
Bears looking to screw our situation up in the standings and also want to return the favor. Gonna be a really difficult game for detroit. Ya, must win. Keep the confidence
Look Ben J& Aaron G would be crazy to leave the Lions without winning the championship Lambardi Trophy. Lions are a Great team this year but the fan base keeps talking about them leaving!! They better have them (RINGS)!!! B4 they walk.
There is little redemption against a sub par team that has no reason to win. But they need to win the next two games to maintain confidence and momentum. And yes getting the Bye Week is HUGE!
If we can’t beat the Bears, we can’t beat the Vikings. If we can’t beat the Vikings, I don’t think we can take Philly either. Let’s go, beat the Bears!!
Ben needs to stop getting cute calling pass plays for Sewell in the red zone. We lost a yard and only got a field goal. Gibbs also fumbled on the be yard line. We also had another red zone FG. That’s giving up 15 points. That puts Chicago out of it
The only reason I say this is a "must win", is because the Bears are phoning in the remainder of the season. If we can't win this game against a Bears team is disarray, that says something bad about us. I think we will rofl-stomp the Bears in there own stadium on Sunday. Here is my question for you Steve and Will....does home game advantage mean as much this year in the post season as it did last season? It seems to me that since ticket prices have increased so much this year, the stadium is quieter this year than last year. Does a stadium full of higher society "fans" get as loud on defense plays as the "blue collar" true fans make it? Hot take, maybe...but just my thoughts. I am in Iowa and don't get to Ford field. I know you guys do, so what are your thoughts?
I got kerby for dpog, I'm thinking pick-6 for him. Opog is going to be. . .Sewel! Pan cake city baby! Gibbs will be unstoppable running off RT. Lions 41- bears 28.
The record is overwith, we are in playoffs, now it's about momentum going into the playoffs, so this is a must win game, you cannot let other teams see you loose to a 4 win team.
We are undefeated on road

Jared Goff has earned much more respect than he gets -- Jared, know that Lions fans appreciate you! GO LIONS!!!

I think they need to totally control this game with a decisive win and no injuries.

Look Ben J& Aaron G would be crazy to leave the Lions without winning the championship
Lambardi

Hope to see Jefferson. But I'll settle for Vaki. He never had a chance behind a good offensive line in pre-season.
You don't want to bang up JG as a short yardage guy.
If we can’t beat the Bears, we can’t beat the Vikings. If we can’t beat the Vikings, I don’t think we can take Philly either.

These teams like the Bears love being a spoiler team.

Lions unbeaten on the rd so for so they should win nxt 3
No the dance is coming! That is an entire different season when the Playoffs start! Period!
Easiest way to the superbowl is to win
Agree Ben Johnson will NOT go to the Bears!
31-17 Lions
24 - 17 Lions
This is a must win game !!!
I got kerby for dpog, I'm thinking pick-6 for him. Opog is going to be. . .Sewel! Pan cake city baby! Gibbs will be unstoppable running off RT. Lions 41- bears 28.
I don't care what the record is, that's overnight, now we're talking momentum, home field advantage, so yes this is a must win !!!!!
Our secondary took a huge hit losing davis having to throw vildor out there feels like we are back at square one smh
😂 the ghost of Will continued the broadcast 5:30.

must score 40+ points ...generate 3 turnovers ... must do
😂
Buffalo and Detroit can do it, but I don't see Lions burning out thier offense either. And I see them holding Chicago to 28 max this game.
No, just win.
