I definitely am in the minority here, but I actually see that the Lions seem to be getting healthier and deeper. The guys on the bench have stepped up and shown that they can play and compete in the NFL. As well, a few of the guys on IR are coming back and could contribute. Guys like Moseley (already back), JRM (hopefully in a couple weeks), and a few other guys in three or four weeks. The only position group whose depth worries me is the O Line, just because of the high standard our starters have set, and how much the Lions offence relies on their high level of play. Our O Line backups are either weak or unproven. Would be nice to see Mahogany get some reps.

Steve, you're the man, Will is plain wrong. Daniel Jones is a far bigger risk than Hooker. Hooker has spent months as backup learning the system while Jones has proven to be a failure. You think a guy who's been in the same system and failed is going to come to Detroit and becomes be a savior in an offense he barely knows. He would have to learn on the fly with no guarantee that he'll ever get a brand new offense. Hooker has learned the job, with more talent than Jones and has put in the time to learn the system. Brad has proven that he knows talent and Hooker is talented, knows the offense and has played in it. No to the washed up loser and yes to Hooker who can play and has gotten better. His stats are good, 6/9, 66.7% passing, 86.3 QBR in very limited snaps. I believe in Brad's choice for QB more that New York Giants rejects a with little history of success. The Lions have had a history of bad QBs, Jones is a walking disaster who would continue that failure , Hooker is a Student of Ben, Tanner and Brunnel and knows enough to take the job of unofficial counselor to Goff. and he's a winner
