    I just LOVE what you've done with that 3x5 card box. What a neat gift box something like that would make! then the box could be saved. You are sooo creative!

    Thanks for another great video! I love to decoupage tins and I found that scuffing up the surface of the tin with a sanding block can help the paper stick better. I also apply glue to both the paper and the tin. I use Mod Podge but am looking forward to trying the brands you tested in the video.

    • @MargareteMiller

      When I was finishing up, I started thinking, "I should have sanded the surface a bit". Next time 😉

    These look great! I especially like the butterfly. I like working with little tins. I was wondering if a little sanding would have helped. Also have you ever tried Fabric Tac or one of those similar glues? I’m thinking of trying that next. I’ve used Mod Podge, which works well, but can be a bit sticky. Thanks for sharing. 😃❤️

    Very similar to decopage. I've done it on tins and cardboard boxes, using modpoge. I love how these tins looked when finished. I have a recipe tin like yours. Full of recipes of course. It's plain green also. Now I'm thinking of covering it. Thank you for such fun ideas.

    • @MargareteMiller
      @MargareteMiller  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Neat!! If you collage and use it as a recipe tin, you might think of putting a coat of md podge over the top, just so the paper doesn't stain or get dirty while in the kitchen. 😉👍🏻💜

    Another fascinating and helpful video. Thank you for sharing. Do you have any suggestions for smoothing out the embossed letters on Altoids tin?🤔

    • @MargareteMiller
      @MargareteMiller  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks, Cheryl. 💜 I'd avoid using a tin with embossed letters. I don't think there's a good way to make them flat, unfortunately.

    • @cherylbell4057

      @@MargareteMiller I suspected that the raised letters would be a near impossible fix. Thank you for your input. I’m looking forward to your next video. Have a nice day.

    I always sand the surface of the tins I collage on … just enough to knock back the glossy finish. The paper adheres and cannot be peeled off

    I love them all! How about putting a light coat of matte spray sealer on? Would it make the paper buckle?

    • @MargareteMiller
      @MargareteMiller  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks, Cynthia. I don't think it needs a sealer for my needs. You certainly could put a coat on, especially if you already have it at home.

  • @SherryRector
    @SherryRector 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Neither. It hides the paper too much. just keep the strip and stamps.
