but he made over 30 million in 1996!! Nobody would make over 31 million till Steph Curry 34 million in 2017. That is an astounding 20 years. His 30 million salary was basically 20 years ahead of its time.
@@illstreamthat He made more from endorsements than he made from playing basketball, a lot more. But regardless, he was still underpaid from playing basketball, by a lot.
His team could not pay him that much. All the teams had to chip in to pay him that. He made them BILLIONS, so the entire NBA felt that they owed him that.
@@eduardovalencia2197this said he got paid in the 1994-1995 season but he returned in January 30th of the year 1996, in the 1995-1996. So yes, they were wrong, as he didn't play a single game in 1995.
Wow. It’s thanksgiving and im super high. When we got to 2026 i was looking at the weed crazy but this isnt my first rabbit hole and to know to buckle up for safety… especially in 2026. Scared to GPS how far of a drive back to 2024 is.😂
Moses played for the Houston Rockets in '79/80.
Didnt play with the Sixers until 1983
Wilt Chamberlain: 8
Kareem Abdul Jabbar: 7
Kevin Garnett: 7
Kobe Bryant: 7
Steph Curry: 7
Patrick Ewing: 6
Moses Malone: 5
Magic Johnson: 4
Pete Maravich: 3
Bill Walton: 3
Shaquille O’Neal: 3
Adjusted for inflation Jordan in 1997 holds the record. In today’s dollars he earned the equivalent of $59,043,545
In the 47-48 season, Mikan was not yet in the NBA (then BAA) and was in the NBL.
Minneapolis entered the NBA in the 48-49 season.
Really blew it with Ewing early on.
In what way? Ewing was always a productive big man, put butts in the seats and was a model citizen. He was worth every penny he was paid.
Knicks weren't taken seriously until Pat Riley became head coach. Also, Bernard King and Ewing never played a regular season game together.
I thought I knew my NBA history, who TF is Ernie DiGregio?
The Philadelphia 76ers were known as the Philadelphia Warriors and not the 76ers til after the Nationals moved from Syracuse.
The Philadelphia Warriors are now the Golden State Warriors. 'Sixers used to be the Syracuse Nationals.
Yeah...think the Bucks need to think about 2026-2028.......
Crazy #####
Its mind blowing how much these dudes make today... NBA players are well paid and the market is great for them.
If the players make that much, imagine how much the owners make.

@@seanman1231 That's fine...Nike probably paid him more than the NBA.

Great college ball handler and shooter..to small and defensive liability for pro...fun to watch😊
Adjust for inflation too.
You should add median us house hold income for each year as a reference
Dang, Steph had the Bag Run of All Bag Runs in the NBA
Brown overpaid
Jaylen Brown $65m....LOL!!!!!
LeBron got played
Moses Malone was with Houston 79-80. You have to do better
So Bill Russell became the first player to earn over $100,000.
He earned $100,001!!!! 😆
I think the 1 dollar was added so he could make more than Wilt .
Would have loved being in that negociation room.
Earning Di Gregorio
Dios santo Curry. Que bien pagado.😂

Chamberlain never plays for the Sixers
Yes he did. In the late 1960s. This guy has him listed as a 'Sixer when he was playing for the Warriors.
