Seeing the timer jump from 36:34 to 1:55:30 leads me to believe Simple tried clicking the star again for 1 hour and 19 minutes.
it jumps back down to 1:04:39 for the start of The Glorious Triangle of Trollery, and that one ends at 1:47:39 (~7 minutes before the first hack resumed). This would imply that he actually only spent roughly half an hour trying to click the start before moving on to a different hack while the first hack's dev went and fixed it.

As a Brazilian i feel it is my obligation to educate everyone on all the memes on the second hack:
16:11 - Ednaldo Pereira - Became famous for some song that turned into a meme and his personality online made everyone love him a lot.
16:19 - Inbonha - It's a meme with messing around with character names of a famous kid's comics here in Brazil called Monica's Gang. (Not a meme but the first image Simple touched are Leon and Nilce two famous brazilian youtubers that a lot of ppl love)
16:23 - Essa caveira significa perigo - It's an el chavo reference of one of the characters (Don Ramón on the original, Seu Madruga on the BR version) saying teaching the kids at school about poison. It got remixed and played a lot everywhere.
16:28 - Santana, Acabe com ela - A meme of a scene from a series that aired on television (iirc) about two criminal entering a house and shooting a woman on the head. She falls comically saying "Ouch".
16:39 - Ta pegando fogo bicho! - A classic scene aired on live television show that one of the guys trying to advertise about a grill but accidentally set it on fire. Faustão (The show's host) screams about it being on fire.
16:51 - No céu tem pão? - This seems quite sad but it's a comedian talking about a kid dying of hunger asking to their mom if in heaven there's bread. He tells the story crying and it seems real, but I guess the question + the way he talks paired with a kind of comical "Then Died!" after telling the quote made it seem funny to everyone and it became a meme.
16:55 - Hidrate-se - It's a Brazillian youtuber, comedian and musician called Lucas Inutilismo underwater with a plastic cup "drinking water". People paired that with the text "Hydrate Yourself".
17:01 - Aqui Pederneiras AI AI - Another live television gem of a journalist telling about a grape showcase event and when he touched a grape to show the cameraman and the audience, some sort of wire behind the grapes gave him a massive shock and he comically fell screaming "OUCH! OUCH"" followed by chaos.

16:00 Oh, these are memes from my country! Hi from Brazil! Here's all the references I can remember for those who want to get cultured:
The first meme is Ednaldo Pereira, which as far as I can remember (this is a 2016 meme), is just a guy whose face became memeable.
The second meme is an amalgamation of different characters from Turma da Mônica ("Monica's Gang" in English-speaking countries); people just used to do that because it was a popular IP
(Note: the couple that Simple ran into first is a popular Brazilian TH-camr couple from Coisa de Nerd, which were also big memes back in the day).
The third meme (the one on the right) is a scene from popular comedy series Chaves ("El Chavo del Ocho" in Spanish-speaking countries) where Seu Madruga ("Don Ramón") is teaching the village children about danger.
The fourth meme looks like it is from an amateur film which got memed because of a particularly funny death scene.
The fifth meme is from Domingão do Faustão, which is a popular live show that happened every Sunday. This particular scene is from when a grill caught fire on set, eliciting a funny quote from the host.
(Note: the middle image is from TH-cam channel ColoniaContraAtaca, which also had its stints in Brazilian meme history due to being our equivalent to AVGN).
The sixth meme is the middle image, though I genuinely can't tell what it is.

16:10 These were Brazilian memes, pretty cool to see that as a brazilian. I managed to recognise a few. The first one was Ednaldo Pereira, a musician and meme legend due to his personality, the second one was a meme about turma da mônica a popular childrens cartoon one of many goofy edits of the main character, then a meme about chaves, a mexican comedy show that's very popular too, the character was Seu Madruga and he was working as a professor in this class and the whole scene is funny, specially one of his phrases, the next one i identified was one about Faustão, a tv host of a famous program about various things basically an incident happend and his reaction was very funny, next is one about Renato Aragão, a comedian known as "Didi" and that image was about a speech he did that became a meme, the subject of the speech is actually sad, but i guess the way he says it is funny, and last but not least, a meme about a reporter who got shocked by grabing onto a grape at a shop he was talking about, his reaction was funny and the rest is history. There were some memes i recognised but don't remember, probably because of the low quality, would love if someone that remembers sees this. But honestly it's amazing to even have my country recognized in a Simpleflips roll hack competition. For anyone who read this far Thanks ❤

16:13 the middle one is in fact Inbonha which is one of the abomination fusions of the main characters of Brazilian comic "Monica's Gang". the image is a rendition of a children's homework that required that the child fill the blank spaces with cutouts of syllables in order to make the names of the characters, but instead the blankspaces have a lote of funny sounding misplaced syllables.
The left one featured a photoshoot of Leon e Nilce, a brazilian youtuber couple that run the tech and gaming channel "Coisa de Nerd" and the vlog channel "Cadê a chave?"
The right one has so few pixels but if I had to guess is probably a screencap from Faustão or another gameshow

How did the developers of the original Nintendo 64 classic that defined a generation of video games forever and ever manage to cram so many songs in the original classic that defined a generation Super Mario 64? This is the question that I'm supposed to set out to answer to all of you.
Let's find out in this three hour analysis. Back in the Stone Age, cavemen used to play little games like
like hitting rocks, kids from all around the world started to do something, they started to play games, just like the cavemen, and the games they played didn't just include rocks, they included lots of things, like pogo stick, hopscotch, or tic-tac-toe. Don't worry, all of these games were also able to produce sound, considering how they're all part of the family of natural games. Now, you might be wondering what "natural games" means? But don't worry again, this is simply the term I've invented for what is basically and essentialy (sic) games that are produced naturally, which means, games that weren't made using machines. But this all changed when technology was introduced into the gaming market. When the first ever consoles started to rise, the abilities of gaming, to produce games, and to play games were now incredibly exponencial (sic), the gaming market was truly through the roof, and now, people could atually put games inside their houses. Back in the 70's, the idea of making and composing music for video games was unheard of, since the technology at the time was limited, most games were silent and only used sound effects sometimes, they rarely used music. This was standard at the time, considering how back then, gamers didn't have a big standard of how games should even sound, and also considering how back then, the hardware used to produce these consoles was fairly limited, and was not even able to produce sounds or even able to make music. However, this changed when the 80's were starting. Considering how the technology was evolving, new things were introduced everywhere, people started to listen to futuristic music, videogames consoles started to release everywhere, Casio calculator watches were common, and the craze for the Video Home System (or VHS) had just started to begin. And with the videogame consoles evolving, this basically meant that the internal processors inside of the console were capable enough to now produce actual audio, along with the soundtrack, the songs, and even funny songs were finally able to be produced within the limitations of the console itself, and so developers could now introduce background scores in their games. However, this was still limited, considering how the NES only had three channels, the Square, Sine, and Noise channel, this means that there is a limited type of sounds that the Nintendo Entertainment System was able to even produce, which each sound sounding a bit different to the next, so developers had to get creative with making unique sounds for their unique games. As the technology was SORRY THAT'S ALL I CAN BEAR TO TYPE OUT
