The games with all Americans seem to be the worst. Always a person leaving the bot to play, with another player almost guaranteed to become a bitter king maker after loosing a race to an early settlement spot. What they lack in intelligence, they make up for with emotion. Makes for silly online games where anonymity allows the most pathetic to participate.

The anonymity of online games allows behavior, and play that would never be experienced in person. The rudest, most pathetic players online dont speak a word when in person. They seem to have firm understanding of the consequences to their behavior in those settings.

@jolinsu8394 38:10 he could have mono'd sheep there and road road and settled maybe was when I was originally thinking it. Light blue's road was only 7 at that point
@@dannyangeleno there is only three sheep on board at that point; maybe four. Let’s say theres four. He now has 10 sheep and a wood which isnt enough. Thats gets him four free cards so… 2 wood and 2 brick and hes still shy a wheat and a brick to settle and build two roads.

He didn't had the win at 42:00, from that mono you can get 2 roads from the ores and 1 wood/brick, 1 sheep if he turn the 3 sheep. 8 ores turns to 2 wood 2 brick so 2 roads not 4 roads as many have mentioned in the comments. road was 9 and Dylan only could get it to 8 and maybe 9 if someone would trade the sheep to wood/brick which I doubt. so no win here
Ok. Low key. How do you guys recommend actually learning how to play this. Looks fun but I don’t know what’s going on most the time. Beyond just basic rules, what do you guys recommend?
You can learn online using colonist or Catan Universe and playing against bots. The rules of the actual board game are also available as a pdf to download. Don’t know what the best way to learn is but the most fun way is to buy a copy of the board game and play with friends.
38:21 is the biggest rookie mistake of all. Light blue potentially at 9, you settle when you could have ported for 1 wood 2 bricks and get road... Sad to see you make those mistake..
I disagree entirely with how you are playing this. Take the city, slowly build 1 or 2 more settles and build roads without taking it. Then in a burst you mono take road build a city or two and game. Instead you are trickling devs and not gaining points or production.
trading the wood to buy a dev is not a goo dmove imo. A few turns later oyur hand is full with brick and oyu are not a step closer to tha tport. You should go brick port asap and not trade the valuable wood.
