Christmas and January are always slow for Turo.

Yea how many miles would influence my decicion. If you could self manage for 2k a month and your expenses are 1k then maybe you do it.

But are you able to use the Raptor at all? If not, what's the point? The truck is getting trashed and you aren't able to use it. I was thinking about doing Turo with a Raptor but it just doesn't make financial sense. You're risking someone damaging the truck making it a huge hassle to repair. Also, renters may use it to do harsh work increasing the chances for damage. Those payments don't stop for a few years. Thanks for the video/info.

How many miles does this have now and how much did you start.

I've never rented out a vehicle on turo. I've seriously considered it, but I live in a small town that is nowhere near any cities or anything. I don't think I'd get much, if any, business. So, with potential damage, insurance on another vehicle, etc. I do not believe it would be anywhere near worth the effort for me.
I have rented about 10 different vehicles on turo over the past 5 years (5 or 6 of those were teslas) and use to absolutely love turo. Prices are ridiculous now though, especially if you're looking for something different or fun. By time you pay the individual $90 - $200, turo wants $70+ too. Even if you're going for a 'regular boring' vehicle by time you pay the owner and turo you're still looking at $80+ for 1 day for something boring. That's usually only including 200 miles a day, too.
You can rent a tesla model 3 at hertz for about $60/day (cheaper if you pay in advance!) that includes unlimited miles. Yeah, they are standard range/long range models so not performance models, but that's definitely a lot better than a corolla or mirage or whatever junk boring thing you can find on turo for a similar (still more though after turo's cut) price.
So, I believe turo is still a good option if you're looking for something specific, such as a raptor, or diesel truck, or performance tesla**, or bmw m vehicle, etc.
**Unless you're just wanting to test drive one, as you can do that completely free at a tesla store- and if you act seriously interested they will even let you take one overnight.
The only way I would currently use turo is to rent a rivian, or something else really fun (like a bmw m vehicle, or c8 corvette, etc.) but to get a rivian, which are obviously expensive vehicles and I understand that, but it would be about $500 for 1 day and 200 miles allotted in that. It's just not even close to being worth it to me.

How many miles were put on your truck during this time, and was there any significant damages?
