You can buy Harris clones. I don't know why they cost what they do. Magpul has a line of bipod that seem light and durable. I never used them but some my friends swear by them. I'm an Atlas guy but there are a lot of good bipod out there but they are going to cost you. Thanks for the question.

Good thing about using a ruck is if you put an armored panel in it, it is also an improvised fighting position.

I bought a manufactured bag. I'm not what's in it. That being said if you make your own I would use airsoft bbs

I'm not sure? I do know it was the standard for snipers for decades. But now there are so many good affordable bipods out there. I prefer Atlas.
