When this song played during the rainy level in Cloudy Park, I was blown away by how well this game establishes subtle changes of tone. The visuals, the music, and the character animations combine to make a truly atmospheric kirby game that I don't think has been topped yet. This game literally looked, sounded, and felt like it was a dream. By far my favorite Kirby when it comes to aesthetic and overall vibe. They nailed with this one.

I agree, having played many many many games this one is the most effective in (every single way) what it's trying to accomplish. The art style, the music, the story and aesthetic is all 1000% on point. Maybe the best Kirby game ever made.

There’s some really subtle modulations throughout this soundtrack hiding as normal chord changes while still holding firmly onto the tonic, all revolving around the use of major 7ths. In addition to being secretly jazzy as hell, it adds this inherently super dreamy ethereal quality to the harmony-perfectly aligned with the game’s themes. KD3 is underappreciated. It might have the best cumulative soundtrack of any Kirby game in the series for me from a songwriting perspective.

@@toooydoeur Disagree. Super Star seemed more elaborate than Dream Land 3, both, in gameplay and artwork. Considering Dream Land 3 came out afterwards, it felt like a downgrade to me.

I guess I could agree that it was kind of weird how the levels were chopped into different chapters of sorts. But it still made enough sense to not be disruptive and it's not disconnected from the final chapter.

My favorite kirby game is Adventure Wii because it was so fun but Dreamland 3 is very close 2nd. The vibes are un matched.
