my god what a ship this was. larger than life & pinnacle of art deco. most beautiful machine ever created imo. I could have never felt comfortable in those insane public rooms though not to mention that dining hall. More a walk through art installation than anything else. I'd hang around the bar grill all the time it's my favorite. So so elegant. Pls do some staterooms!!
Brings tears to my eyes! A thousand thank you for taking the time to recreate what in my opinion was the most BEAUTIFULLY appointed ocean liner to ever ply the seas. ❤🙏🏻
Bravissimo! Fantastic work! The first class dining salon and winter garden are WOW moments! Loved the work in the first class bar area of the swimming pool! Beautiful mosaics ! The Normandie was truly the grandest of them all!!! 👍 🇫🇷🇺🇸 PS. Your music choices are wonderful !!! MikeW.
I just watched again. Thank you for this view into an indescribable work of wonder. I'm struck by her immensity and sheer magnificence. There was never before anything like her, nor will there be again. Your work is a tremendous gift to those of us who love her.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is like being in a dream. This is as close as it will ever get to sailing on this magnificent liner. Simply stunning.
Hard to believe that this ship actually existed! Can you imagine actually being on that ship for a week? To people in the 1930ies/40ies this must have felt like a crazy dream!
WOW what a find! Fantastic work bringing the majestic interior of this ocean liner to life!!! That dining room is i think forever in the top 5 most opulent and exquisite interiors.
This beautiful steel giant is truly adorned in the finest dress the mighty Atlantic did see. Even looking on simple pictures of her stupendous interior makes the eye shutter. But ,being able to appreciate the true scale of detail and elegance, this wondership carryed on it's simply fascinating. Moreover Edith Piaf in the background helps to set the perfect atmosphere . An atmosphere that genly carryes you. Being it on with notes,or at thirty knots towards the land of dreams.
wow...just...wow. I'm an armchair Titanic enthusiast, but some of these galleries put Titanic to absolute shame in comparison. Excellent work to the people behind this and other virtual recreations of these grand ships of yesteryear.
This ship is truly a spectacular representation of French culture and art deco, shame to see it go though, could’ve been prevented, would’ve been nice if it ended like the queen mary, ( exclude the rotting state. ) Great thing that you’re attempting to revive such a grandiose art deco masterpiece, keep on going! It looks great!
Hi I really appreciate this animation you have created with my SketchUp models. Maybe you can also do my SS L'Atlantique? I have the models in the warehouse as well
Just imagine as a middle age kid doing work experience on one of these glimming glamorous ocean liners like normandie herself honestly i would take it CHAO❤
Now i understand why many passengers preferred the Queen Mary's more relaxed, toned back, and reserved atmosphere to Normandie's excessively flamboyant interior. Don't get me wrong the Normandie is a BEAUTIFUL ship and the interior is beautiful as well but it's really overly flashy for my tasted. It's very obviously a ship meant for the super-rich. I mean look at a f**king HUGE that dining room is!!! All in all, the ship is modern even by today's standards, its beautiful I wish it had survived but oh well. When it comes to the exterior design and the funnels, I'd much rather prefer this ship to the Queen Mary. But I also prefer a more relaxed interior. (I would definitely keep the Art Deco)
She is a stunning vessel but my British heart cannot help but point out that the queen carried 15,000 men during the war and Churchill himself said that if it was not for the queen's then the war would of dragged on a lot longer. If Normandie was successfully converted into a troop carrier then there would be no doubt that she would also of joined the Mary in being one of the biggest and fastest troopships to ever slice the oceans. I just wish the American navy would of been more careful with her.
God, the Olympic Class liners truly were the peak of interior designing on ocean liners, a slight mix of the new trends and majority of the old. Gave this ships a uniqueness, feeling to them, character and beauty to be admired at throughout the ages. Some more Modern liners look nice on the outside but specially Normandy and most modern Cunard Liners including QM2 have bland ugly simple interiors. Like most modern architecture the ocean liner industry (what remains) and cruise liner industries have adapted the modern architecture build something that looks kinda okay for but with no detail or extreme care, ships and their interiors were built to last a majority of the career vs something needs re-fitted or repaired every god-dam day weather if its a ship or a modern home. That's why i like the white Starline for what it was despite being apart of J.P Morgans vast empire of greed and despair. Money was trickled down to make some of the best interiors seen on a ocean-liner that are well remembered and infamous for being elegant and prestige like all 3 of the forward grand staircases on the Olympic class liners, aspecily Britannic with its organ that would have been built into the wall on A deck and lavish carpets that have good contrast with the wall theming for panels on Britannic. You never see the cruise liner industry or modern Cunard try and do this well. They have faded from what made them world class companies along with the immerged white-star line. Cunard is and always was about being flamboyant, cultural change, luxury in certain ways and above all records. It's a shame that the white star line had an infamous demise from various factors both internal in the company and more abroad, they were the pinochle of innovation of ship luxury's expectation's and providing the top class "ocean-liner" experience. However i'm also glad the white-Star line meat its demise in a positive light to an extent, it will be remberd for its traditional ocean liner designs and its careful balance of the old and new on the Olympic class although, subtle and it won't be remberd in an alternate reality as a company that won a contract to take over cunard and well, maybe we would end up with, god forbid a Queen Marry looking RMMV Oceanic with it's interiors, Inn-less the white Star-line decide to go against the odds and remain as traditionalist ocean-liner company although that would perhaps be suicidal considering the aftermath of the great desperation, ww2, 50s etc.
Please please keep going with this project! Would love to see some of the passenger staterooms!
Same! Me too!
Normandie is SOOOO underrated! I saw the huge cross section model of it on the Queen Mary, and instantly was intrigued by the designs!
I love the Normandie's exterior, but I had to idea this was what she looked like on the inside! 😮

Truly magnificent. You are brining a legend back to life. If only they could build modern ships like this.

Still hurts me knowing that such an incredible ship was burned to a hollow shell. She deserves to be brought back to life.
she deserved better...
How wonderful that was , top marks for the annimation and brilliant sound track .

Tres Magnifique! Bringing a legend back to life. Bravo.
The true ship of dreams
Magnifique!! More please! I have books showing these interiors in glorious colour, but this brings it all to life. Thank you!
Hard to believe that this ship actually existed! Can you imagine actually being on that ship for a week? To people in the 1930ies/40ies this must have felt like a crazy dream!
Just amazing, preservation of history
Absolutely Beautiful ❤
Very nicely done. Need this with VR goggles.
SS Normandie ♡
This is incredible!! Wishing the best as you continue working on it - truly amazing!
basically the height of western civilization in a ship
Yes I never thought of that but it’s true
Best ship ever made and the second best is not even close.
Le plus beau paquebot/transatlantique de l'historie et le mon ❤
WOW what a find! Fantastic work bringing the majestic interior of this ocean liner to life!!! That dining room is i think forever in the top 5 most opulent and exquisite interiors.
Not for nothing is the Normandie still considered by many maritime historians as the most lavish and luxurious ship ever built.
Style speed luxurie. NORMANDY
So well done. Really helps put things in perspective as to where the rooms, etc were. Love it!!!!

Could something this magnificent ever really have existed?
This needs so much more attention than it has !
Beautiful work! Would love to see this done for the whole ship! Great job!
wow...just...wow. I'm an armchair Titanic enthusiast, but some of these galleries put Titanic to absolute shame in comparison. Excellent work to the people behind this and other virtual recreations of these grand ships of yesteryear.
My favorite liner. Thanks for producing this!
Wow.
outstanding :-) just amazing
Will you make this into a playable game on something like Steam? This NEEDS to be played...
Please do continue. This is needed.

Thank you for your wonderful work! It makes me think of the Titanic project. How could we help you?
Beautiful work.
Absolutely incredible!!!!
I didn’t know of this until now!😍 finally a liner other than titanic that is getting some actual love😍😍
Incredible! Please keep going!
This is the most beatiful inside of an ocean liner that i never seen this is insane dude that's sick😅
Hi I really appreciate this animation you have created with my SketchUp models. Maybe you can also do my SS L'Atlantique? I have the models in the warehouse as well
Thank You! Your models are excellent! Right now I would like to stick with Normandie and make as much of the ship as I can into Unreal Engine.
@Art_Deco_Guy but if you have any more Normandie models I would love to add them into this project!
I have recreated some models for the SS L'Atlantique
I have now the children's playroom uploaded in my warehouse account 😊@@normandiesol
very nice
There'll never be a nicer ship
Incredible, bravo! Go on please!
I think she is the most beautiful ship ever to sail both of her exterior and interior was the best
fantastic.
Loved this I hope more comes. Background music I wasn’t a fan of though
Formidable!!
C'est tout simplement splendide
Is this for like a Normandie video game like Titanic Honor and Glory?
Just imagine as a middle age kid doing work experience on one of these glimming glamorous ocean liners like normandie herself honestly i would take it CHAO❤

she was.... so beautiful....
thank you ! The Normandie was the most luxurious cruiser of all time… and completely ignored. Too much Titanic ! Normandie !
How long did it take you to create the ship of light
Now i understand why many passengers preferred the Queen Mary's more relaxed, toned back, and reserved atmosphere to Normandie's excessively flamboyant interior.

Hey are you still working on this project?
que elegancia de Barc o
ella era la mas hermosa sin duda
Please make it into a vr game on steam
Normandie>Queen Mary
Oh yeah.
She is a stunning vessel but my British heart cannot help but point out that the queen carried 15,000 men during the war and Churchill himself said that if it was not for the queen's then the war would of dragged on a lot longer. exactly!!!
Queen Mary is still around though lol
Obviously
Now this would have been a ship to keep and visit.. not keen on queen Mary l, it’s interiors having aged well at all..
Everything is WAY too shiny. But apart from that, great work.
Shut up and take my money
It's beautiful but...kinda cold and sterile? I can see why the more cozy Queen Mary was more popular.

People who like the likes of QM2, SS Normandie etc please, get your eyes checked in all seriousness. this is a colorful bland, simple neon shitshow.
