It’s a nice system. I’m a combination of laziness, impatience, and sufficient skill that I just freehand and don’t think I’d get a lot of use out of fixed angles unless I was trying to prepare a knife for sale or benchmark them for a test. I might have a zero-able gauge I’ll give you. Thanks for the video JB.
I will get there one day. I was raised on stone sharpening. I have a worksharp I use 20% of the time but the majority of my sharpening is done on a Tormek T-8 takes the guess work out of the equation. My next purchase is going to be a Twice as Sharp so I can sharpen shears for my daughter and her co workers. So many options. Thanks for the 👀 #dskfs
Definitely looks promising for the larger blades. I like that you used what appears to be a tactikewl fixie for demonstration. No worries if that one isn't exactly perfect.
I bought the Worksharp Pro PA before this came out, or I'd have considered it. I like the TS Prof clamp the best. There is an inexpensive third-party arm for the Pro PA that allows standard stones to be used. You and Nellie are going to love this one.
Very fancy 😁 👍🏻 I just able to get the cheapest work sharp fixed angle sharpener it's so much easier than whet stones. Thanks for showing your sharpener
Looks like a great system. I haven’t used any of the TSPROF sharpeners, but I’ve researched them a bunch over the years when I was shopping for a system. I didn’t end up going with them, but it seems pretty unanimous that their stuff is all top shelf. I’m sure you’ll like that one a lot once you get going with it. That’s weird that your angle cube doesn’t have a zero function. I just assumed that they would all have that just in case the calibration got off a little.
I got a TS prof Kadet blem. Packaging box was damaged. Haven't used it yet, but coming from a Worksharp precision adjust. I bought it primarily for my pocket knives, secondary for the kitchen knives. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool video. I dig these a lot. I haven't set mine up yet. Jeremy is going to help me and glad I got to see yours first. The angle thing bothers me but we'll figure it out. Thanks😊
I've never used a system like this when ever I need to sharpen or touch up a blade I feel pretty comfortable using a stone on a table free hand I guess you could say I'm not a pro but I've also never messed anything up great video man 👍
Hi! We are super sorry about the instructions, there was a tiny batch of Pioneers, about 15 pcs, that were shipped with an old manual version. It seems they got mixed with newest batches with the proper bilingual manuals.
Seems complicated for my learning disability having ass. As it is I try to make edges perfect then I go in for one more touch then it's uneven or screwed up or I take off too much.
Looks like a nice system I would've considered it, if I didn't have the WorkSharp system. I could see some sharpening Live streams tutorials coming to the channel in the near future 🤣😂 ✌🏻
Yup...that's the system to get. I'm sure Nellie will enjoy the end results on those kitchen knives real soon if not already 🎯
I think so too!
Thats a fancy sharpening system. Super nice! That would he extremely useful. Thanks for sharing JB
Thanks so much Tim! Have a good day!

Thanks so much my friend! I picked one up already but thank you for the offer!
@@BigRedEDC Ah, good because I haven’t been able to find it and I can give up 😁
Looks like an interesting system and a nice one for the larger blades.
For sure Tim!
Congrats and enjoy! It looks very well built.
Feel pretty solid for sure!
Great video JB, I have my eye on that sharpen now. Might have to pick one up for my birthday. Thank you for showing us JB
Right on brother! Thanks for watching!

Gotta use what works best for you!

It is for sure Grom! LOL....I grabbed a larger knife I had in the garage! Not sure what it was honestly!
@@BigRedEDC it looks a lot like one I got in a Budk grab bag. Almost certainly the same brand at least. And there's nothing wrong with that.
@GromMolotok the knife most likely is from BudK...lol

Nice looking setup, seems like it would be easier to use then free hand sharpening. Thanks for sharing BigRed be safe.

Did yours come with a Russian only manual?
Great video, JB!

This is a system I’d love to spend some time with!!!
Right on Josh!
i have the Kadet and it leaves the KME or Worksharp way behind.
Glad it works for you!
I’m sure I’ll get a fixed angle system eventually but have not done a deep dive yet so thanks for a jumping off point
Thanks for watching Jim!
I would love to watch more videos of u using the tsp. I have been looking at getting a TSP for a year now.
Right on 👍

No worries! The pictures in the manual were very easy to follow!
Neat

@@BigRedEDC you're welcome
B.J use the sharpie method. You dont need no stupid angle finder
I need all the help I can get
You are wrong, I want sharpening video with all the colorful Sailors language.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seems complicated for my learning disability having ass. As it is I try to make edges perfect then I go in for one more touch then it's uneven or screwed up or I take off too much.
The fixed angle systems help prevent that! Thanks Tee!
Your angle finder DOES have a zero function, it's the far left button that has 'Ref' on it.
Doesnt work very well apparently
Looks like a nice system I would've considered it, if I didn't have the WorkSharp system. I could see some sharpening Live streams tutorials coming to the channel in the near future 🤣😂 ✌🏻
