Even though the gameplay of this game doesn't look very interesting,
the creators have been playful with the graphics of the game.
It almost looks like NES supports layers, which it doesn't.

Gráficos impressionantes levando-se em consideração as limitações de hardware do console. Sprites grandes e muitos bem desenhados, bela escolha da paleta de cores e OST que combina muito com a atmosfera do jogo. Vozes! O que é raro em jogos do NES devido ao armazenamento limitadíssimo. Belíssimo efeito paralaxe em 3 camadas! Não gostava desse título quando criança porque não passava da segunda fase. Tudo isso em 40kb de dados! 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

Oh yeah, the good old days when that Activision logo was something to get excited for.
Anyway, this game is quite good. Good graphics, excellent music, hype intro sequence and swordfighting that is actually really solid, especially when compared to contemporaries like Capcom's Trojan. The only things that hold this game back really is the janky platforming and the fact magic consumes your experience.

I like the fact that this game has some tactics, even when fighting a skeleton who can block hits. Magic consuming your exp is indeed strange solution. would be nice if had magic points and more spells, like in one of my favorite NES games "Kickmaster".

So, a few years ago I remember watching super best friends play(90% sure it was them) a similar game. A new game that looks a lot like this. Does anyone have any idea what that game could be?
I think the protagonist was a highlander who's family had been killed and he was out for revenge or some shit.

You have to tap the A button *very lightly* to do a second jump, and again for a third jump. You can't hold the button for longer than 2 frames each time, making it quite difficult to execute.
