Nice build, and I really like the color combination!. As far as the 289 fender emblems go, Shelby's don't have those, they were only for standard Mustangs. ☺
This kit is first of all, a 1/24 scale and that is nice and it does scream Monogram…Second, super accurate body proportions, seats, engine with an HIPO oil pan, are all spot on items to build a nice model of a Hertz Stang Shelby 1966. I think the only thing missing is the GT350 badge for the rear right side… and may be a Shelby fender tag decal….😊 Make sure you dry fit the suspension first…
I bought one last year. My sister bought me same one for christmas. I painted one a mixed black and silver paint with gold decals. The one im dping now is a blue with no decals. Leather and grey interior. I love building this sweet car.
The gt350h was painted,Raven black, Candy apple red, Wimbledon white and sapphire blue, your build looks really good man, kinda like riding a bike, once you learn it, you just do it!!! Nice job!! Looks awesome!!!!
Great job!, I iam building this kit now and am having the same problems with the hood scoop. I went on the Revell site and they are sending me replacement decals! I will try again and will be more precise in cutting out the notch in front of the scoop. What type of paint did you use for the window drip lines? I saw some interesting videos on using a Molotow liquid chrome paint pen.
Hey there, Chris here……..great job on that kit. Question 4 U thorn the quarter windows……. If I wanted 2 use the side louvers instead of the glass, is the glass still necessary to install at all, even though the glass won’t be seen? I know that glass is an issue to install , yet I never see this kit with the louvers used instead m.
Hi Chris. I'm pretty certain the louvers are not used with the glass. Both would install from the outside so they can't both take up the same space. BTW, Round 2 is bringing out a 2+2 for the AMT tooling this year. The Monogram will still be better, though.
Those pesky valances? I glue them after paint. I don't think you can get the chassis under the body with them on. Usually some CA adhesive in the corners holds them in place.

good vid👏👏.....you color choice is beautiful with the gold stripes.

I think you did a fine job! Welcome back from retirement. Been doing these now for 40+ years and I still have fun with them.

That's just my steady hand and some Testors bottle silver. 😄 I've been wanting to get one of those pens and give it a try.
As it turns out, there were 50 Candyapple Red 1966 Shelby GT350H Mustangs built. I’ve built one in Green, and one in the same red
You’ve done a excellent job on that kit, beautiful build. KUTGW buddy. Subbed your channel.
What a beautiful car.

@@mongrelmotorsports thanks much……..that’s what I kind of figured as well
How does the front pan and rear pan attach mine doesn't seem to fit or line up at all thanks
I have a question do you glue the part below the bumpers before or after paint?

@@mongrelmotorsports okay thank you for your help
What colours you use?
I did forget to mention that, sorry. Testors Flame Red.
I have this kit. Considering leaving the decals off. So not a GT350H. The decals scare me off.
is there bigger models of this?
1/12 scale I think but may not be in current production.
Building the same one what color is it
Hi Seth, Testors Flame Red.
Testors Flame Red
Chrome foil never looks right. It adds too much thickness to the trim
I used to be a big believer in it, but I've since gone back to just using paint.
