Thank you, Siobhan for a thoroughly enjoyable presentation. I've lived in Kalispell, Montana 19 years, and Bannack is on my wishlist of places to visit when I retire. I envy you your job (I secretly always wanted to be a park ranger), and I admire the way you were able to carry on so well in spite of being heckled by what sounded like a really insulting pileated woodpecker!

the rule about teacher got my grandmother who was a teacher in the 20's and for the rest of her life. She met my grandfather who was a pricipal. They kept it secret, later moving to a new district (several times) and finally in Columbus, ohio they settled. Of course things had changed over time. Funny some of the old rules.

I think it’s great how you have actors on site to help evoke a sense of the past. The last time we were there a girl in a blue dress was walking the halls of the hotel and waving at my kids. Very cool!

My friend went to the Bannock Hotel and witness the ghost in the left upper room of the hotel after 3 hours of sitting quietly the rocking chair started rocking and something fell off the wall I believe so anyway if you're there it's worth a try it sounded like a lot of fun cuz this guy's is super straight shooter and I guarantee you he was not bsing me great video much appreciation I hope to make it to Bannock someday

🤨🤔Odd ~( 3:35 ) when My family was touring Virginia City in the early 60s the information that was given there was the two-story brick building on the main street, housed the first Governers office and General Thomas Francis Magher became the first assigned and acting Governor, taking over for the temporary person - that handed Governor Magher the office papers in a briefcase and jumped into the same stagecoach that Governor Magher just stepped out of. Later the capital was declared to be in Helena "after a Copper King" tried by hook or crook to have it be made in Anaconda. Governor Magher lost His life in suspicious circumstances in the town of Fort Benton, He was last known to be aboard a large boat docked on the Yellowstone river. The county named Magher is in His honor. Being part Irish and Montana born, I've read about this version in several well-written books and articles accepted by a lot of well-studied people that write about these sorts of things. Yup❕
