4th Place: Prelude Op. 11 No. 13 in Gb Major
Here's another beauty. Scriabin's left hand writing is so lovely, I think in part because he suffered various injuries that prevented him from using his right hand when he was young. First he broke his right collar bone at 14 years old in a horse-drawn vehicle accident, and then he suffered a paralyzing right hand injury at 19 (maybe due to overpractice?), which recurred at 21 years old. He recovered, but per Pushkin and Nicholls, he could never fully trust his right hand again.
