2nd Place: Prelude Op. 16 No. 1 in B Major
This prelude has one of Scriabin's sweetest melodies, and its development is more complex than many of Scriabin's other earlier preludes. I've recorded it for this channel before back in May ("My new favorite Scriabin prelude" title...notice it's #2, which means I've got a new favorite!). I like that video, but this is a new recording with better equipment and some differences in the performance here and there. And different annotations. I hope you enjoy it.
