This Buff Is Absolutely Insane in Destiny 2 PVP

- Bungie just buffed one of the craziest crowd control abilities in all of Destiny 2 Crucible PVP, it's Consecration for Solar Titans. And it's absolutely insane, this buff can wipe entire teams. Use this build and start destroying team firing, clustering teams right now in PVP.

No joke, Consecration was the only reason I went Flawless this weekend. Literally clutched the last round of the last game!
Lore Accurate Trials Match
What was ur build ?
Does it kill people inside bubble or well? If so then I might consider using it too as it'd be great for corridors and capturing flags
Every time I played Consecretion, I got killed before I managed to land the slam.
Skill issue.
I know TV is top % player and played probably 10-15 games to get few clips but man ....if I challenge 2/3 people I am dead on the slide all ready not having time to even do the animation . .That extra 1m vertical can`t really feel it .
Nah ability is ass vs people who've seen it once I've never died to it either unless I'm fighting another guy and decide to trade 1-1 since I'll die anyways.
In pve its COOL tho.@@simplyfitness892
@@lastdeath1991he’s not as good as you think he is
You gotta time it coming around corners and things like that. It really wasn't hard for me to get kills before, it's hard to do it without a trade so usually, I only did it to groups when I could set it up to not get melted, like doing it around a corner, but you can also just do the first part of the attack and detonate them with a name or any number of things
i really appreciate the torgue reference in the beginning, love borederlands
The way consecration works is that any amount of scorch will ignite off of second slam, so I don't think that the additional scorch is necessary
It increases the Scorch spread of the ignitions, that's what allows it to chain kill like this.
The initial wave does so much Scorch that if someone is hit with the first wave and dodges the second, they'll still immediately ignite if you catch another person with the 2nd slam ignition.
I really wish bungie would revert the sunspot damage nerf they rolled out because of loreley
They’ve nerfed Titan into the ground it’s insane
I had an enemy dance around in my sunspot while fighting my teammate, and they still won the fight lol
i love monte carlo! maybe one of my favorite pvp primaries in the game, i remember using it with the thundercrash tree during stasis 120 meta to synthoceps mini slam bunched up teams in trials. of course, bungie had to 3.0 my build and get it OP so that it could be nerfed. ironically, i've switched back to stasis titan now that it's the most underused currently. i have always wanted to play more solar titan as that was the subclass that got me my first seventh column, and this is a huge reason to check it out. thank you, TV!!!
It's so nice that Titans have this very powerful aspect that keeps getting buffed, and that to get a much smaller harder to trigger similar effect, hunters have to have to use an exotic, their grenade, (no healing allowed) and their melee, and its much harder to proc with a smaller radius on top of it all. So nice for them.
At this point, it's now a game of "who can make the guardians go boom more" 😂
Consecration with pyrogale gauntlets is probably a great jack-of-all-trades ability/exotic combo. On one end it’s a monster in PvE where it demolishes groups of enemies. On the other end, it holds up well in PvP, punishing anyone who groups up with allies in tight corridors or passages
More crowd control type buffs like this, please Bungie. Desperately needed.
Heal clip + Adagio Parabellum. I wish i could get that for crucible. Best i have is Enlighten action + Frenzy.
I decided to try this build in several Supremacy matches although I'm not a Titan main.
It was ridiculously fun to use alongside Monte Carlo or Travelers Chosen. The enemy teams literally adjusted their strategy to hit me with everything they had after I ignited them several times in each match.
One Void Titan I faced in Widows Court saw me about to cook him with Consecration and popped Ward Of Dawn to save his life.
Full on reminds me of the heat wave build I used to run on my pyromancer in OutRiders. was so fun for a while.
I found about how busted this combination on accident. I have Void for PvP and forgot to switch my build one day and when I found out I was on my PvE Solar Build i said F it. Holy moly the slams let to so many multi kills 😂 and quickly became my go to for PvP now.
That sounds amazing lmao
I've been a part of a consecration 4 piece pre patch. I don't doubt its power.
I’ve been having fun with these and Ticuus. People marked with Flames with just hide out in cover allowing you to move up and well. Boom
I've been killing with consecration even before the buff and now it's way better. But sometimes on pve/pvp, the 2nd part of the attack will go through targets not causing dmg. It might be a bug due to the change in the range/height of the wave.
I'm currently running a similar build that leverages the Consecration buffs alongside Ashen Wake. The only real swap is that I run the "Grenade Final Blows Heal You" Ember for a bit more healing over the "More Scorch" one. Losing Burning Maul's roaming is why I tried moving off Pyrogales. They're definitely stronger if you go whole-hog on Consecration though.
What guns do you like running with ashen?
I started practicing glaive and have been able to get some cheeky nade kills with those pointy sticks
@@grouthorax3963 Still figuring weapons out in the new sandbox, but pretty much anything that can get someone to ~20% shield quick work great for yeeting a fireball at them.
@@michaelsparks1571 yeah I figured it would change a bit, I was using a bow way back but it felt too slow
That's when I started experimenting with the glaives.
Also I never gave Eriannas vow a chance, I'm thinking it could be ok but not as good with the special ammo changes
Probably should just go back to a 120 hc
Honestly dude I used to watch your videos in like Season of Arrivals, before stasis 😅 and you helped me understand some real fundamentals about PvP with your sidearm lol, Thank you dude 💯
I did not know it had gotten another buff. It’s been pretty fun to play with for the past season due to its good synergy with Pyro, but I will definitely have to lean into it some more. :-)
Good stuff again TV
I’ve used consecration with the whole team in the doorway on Citadel. A a few hands on mods and I got my whole super instantly after collecting their crests.
throwing hammer needs a bigger aim assist bump. it feels terrible to use at a distance in pvp and pve
I'll have to give this a try in control. Hardly play solar when on titan, this gives me a reason now.
Yeah ive been eyeing the consecration buffs and they did not disappoint
Some weird thing about consecration.
The second wave actually doesn’t cause scorch, it just causes an ignition on ANY scorched target. Theoretically even the slightest bit of scorch would allow the explosion.
Ond of the few times an exotics lore actually translates perfectly in-game
i love consecration in pve and never once did i ever think to bring it into pvp holy shit this seems insane
Ran into this in trials and our whole team got 1 shot and it blew my mind
just a small correction on your explanation on how consecration works. the 2nd slam does not apply any scorch stacks but acts more like a hunter's weighted throwing knife where it ignites targets regardless of how many scorch stacks they have
I bought Lightfall this week for 18 euros. So far enjoying being back, I really hope The Final Shape brings back the franchise to much greater heights than recently. I still miss the D1 atmosphere and style tho..
I managed to get a pretty nasty clutch double kill in trials this weekend using em. I’ve always wanted consecration to be good and it finally is. You can even use a build with shoulder charge and peregrines and rock consecration normally. That way if you’re in the air you can 1 shot shoulder charge or if you’re on the ground you can get a consecration 1 shot
Honestly might have been my favorite changes in the patch as a solar titan main
I hadn’t played Titan in pvp in literal years, and went in and did it for hours last week. I still suck, but Consecration made things kinda fun.
I absolutely hate ground attacks that you can't jump over, if you have the reaction time to jump away you should be able to survive
You can, its just a tighter timing now. Before it was just completely trivial to bunny hop over
Yeah, th-cam.com/video/mHbAiBAG_uY/w-d-xo.html perfectly demonstrates the bullshit state in which Bungie's netcode perpetually exists. That guy was 3 meters above the floor even on TV's screen, but the netcode said "fuck that guy in particular". So you are not only fighting against bullshit OHK abilities, but the game itself...
Exactly. This is bullshit and needs to be made a super. They can do this and still have a super too? The fuck!!
You got the fundamental parts of consecration wrong, the first part the uppercut scorches a decent amount with little damage, the follow up slam is a higher damage that ignites any scorched target. That means if you miss the first scorch hit the follow up second slam will only do some damage no scorch
He literally said that
@@malice2846 he said the slam also applies scorch which ignites which isn’t true
Yeah it just ignites the scorch that’s already been applied. You can just use the attack without the slam to apply scorch only and there is a place for that in PvE
TV I’d love to see you try out or make an updated video on Rat king. I’m not apart of the Vermon cult, and I just used rat king for the first time (more than a game) last night. RAT KING SLAYS! And May be my new main weapon.
its so good i put 1700 kills on it in a fun iron banner week. Sooo fun with void hunter + mechaneers and a disruption break grenade launcher xD
You're right. Most Crucible matches are won by the groups that stay together. Except Mayhem😂
Ok you had me at the intro
Hey Vanguard, something I might recommend if you're running Pyrogale in PvP is switching the super to Hammer of Dawn, so that way you still have a roaming super while getting the effects for your ground slam.
It'd be the best of both worlds. Because yeah, having it be a less than perfect nova bomb in pvp has it's uses, but 9/10 you won't kill that many people.
All in all, I think it's the best call, as Hammer of Dawn is still really good in pvp
Big brain thinking !
But it takes 10 minutes to get that super.
@@kingcurmudgeon8685 But it lasts longer than a 1 and done super that is honestly just a TERRIBLE pvp super
@@kingcurmudgeon8685 So what tradeoffs do you wanna take then?
I love pyrogales. I do think it’s funny that it’s a super-augmenting exotic you’d want to switch off of before popping in trials. I’m not sure that’s what Bungie had in mind when they added that penalty 😂
i still prefer the Incendiary Grenade + Skyburners combo. It's a little harder to pull off, but you can do it at range and do it around cover. And with the fragment that returns grenade energy it loops even better than Consecration. I personally run it with Armamentarium and a good kinetic slot handcannon for normal dueling. The best part is you can run Consecration with this for even more on demand ignition chains.
Also I may be misunderstanding something but how does Pyrogale improve Concecration? I know it creates the tornado but that happens after the slam kills everyone, and its slow enough that it won't really help clean up any survivors. Unless it does something to the size or speed of the slams that I'm unaware of, then i just don't see why you would use it over something like Dunemarchers.
"Your enemy can't guess your strategy if you don't have any"
- Sun Tzu
The second wave doesn’t apply scorch it causes an ignition on any target that is scorched when hit by the second wave.
You could throw a nade and then cause an ignition with the first wave and after applying scorch the fragment that applies scorch on targets hit by ignitions ignite then again with the second wave.
Just want to say Behemoth is so good as not only can it one tap but it can fly, freeze, shatter, block area’s, constantly able to use more abilities (shatter, freeze and generate diamond lances) all while having great aim assist buffs. I get 30-45 kill games in 6’s as all the cluster players don’t realise diamond lances are AOE. It’s low key META. Hey you guys keep hiding at the back with scouts like “little children”.
Edit. I run either Cryo or Monte as both generate me abilities.
People are sleeping on those and if you haven’t got Nechrochasm you are going to be very sorry soon. “Thrall for one” if you know you know.
The people in scrimmage (that I played against) wouldn't be on the ground to allow this to work.
Even a hunter can stay in the air for some 8+ seconds while sword canceling and strafe jump then dives 8m away the dry swings edger to a death blow ... Like that's what I have to play against...
Just tried this out (with one eyed mask) the consecration slam is a good tool when used correctly.
Not universally useful but if someone is rushing me or if i have no other options i just do the slamm
If you're using something with heal clip, precious scars is dope. I never do well in trials and I was shitting on people with Abyss Defiant
I’ll get back to you on that once Destiny is out of maintenance
It's still there should be concluded around 2025
Started using it, been getting double and triple kills constantly. Been getting hate messages too. 10/10
Now I want an exotic for arc hunter's Tempest Strike. It's a very satisfying ability to use and I always catch people off guard with it. Would be cool if an exotic made you ready faster after performing it, but that might be a bit op.
It’s because titians are smart to not boast about a buff since everything fun gets nerfed into oblivion
Shhhhhhhh I've been running it before the changes and it was great back then, it's amazing now especially with a swashbuckler weapon but don't tell the masses
TV, PLEASE see what the news is about Electro Slide on Arclock, it might be in the same situation as Consecration. Add on Spark of Instinct and Feedback.
The only reason no one is talking about it is because they knew it was going to be stupid when they first announced it and they don't want people using it cause it makes 6s miserable. Gee thanks TV. :P
Great video TV! your still my favorite streamer for I love your style of double primary more than a shotgun/sniper crutch!! Keep em coming bro!
Hey TV, found out in my own experiments with Consecration that you can run Pyrogale but equip good ol classic Hammer of Sol to avoid the poor super performance! Love the vid
I was trying so hard for the sweaty confetti Fools Remedy precision kill on disjunction.
Wish consecration gave the the cryo clasm slide buff
Consecration is nice to have and gives you some insane outs but need to be very careful when using it because youll die before you get it off usually, at lesst thats my experience on pc/mnk
I give it a month tops before Bungie dials it back. It's not OP or anything, it's just that titans aren't allowed to have good options for long when a new meta drops. Titans just aren't allowed to have anything good unless there's a huge drawback. Which wouldn't be a problem if they treated hunters and warlocks the same way.
Great to hear your happy voice again TV. I guess the break from D2 did you some good.
Is there any other exotics you suggest for a consecration pvp build, path of burning steps maybe for solar weapons?
I don’t know why you call that crowd control, but consecration was very strong even before the update. We tested it vigorously and in most cases it killed us all even in a bubble with well inside.
it's called crowd control because it directly counters grouping up. that's what crowd control is.
TrueVanguard finally showing back up in my feed, and it’s 🔥
Waiting to see control clips vs guardian games pvp where are all the people who dont pvp are in rn….but yes some exotics got an indirect buff
As a titan junkie I will be giving this build a solid go
I was there! Really fun getting dropped into a public match with you and seeing you light up the whole team, tons of fun!
heck yeah i remember emoting with you on eternity lol
@@TrueVanguard i remember watching you blow up that whole team and just screaming to my friend about it
This feels like Striker Titan super from D1....I never thought I would see it again. But here it is...
TV that intro just made my day 😂
I use precious scars. And the bxr. Gives me so much energy cuz of getting restoration from scars and ember or benevolence
I think (i need to test) MK 44 work with Consecration if u use hammer and not the bonk one :) 50% back on hits, not kills + the fragment and u always have melee charged :D
I definitely will be trying by pve build in PvP. Just need a few minor changes and I’ll start practicing on getting it right. Didn’t even know it got buffed and I’ve just recently been using it in PvE.
Ah, reminds me slightly of shatter dive. Several button, aerial, 1 hit, AOE ability with looping potential.
Now if only they buffed cold snap grenades so that hunters can’t just hop to avoid them.
I was on the receiving end of one of TV’s warm greetings, so I can attest you need to jump way higher than you think to avoid!
Great video!
What mods do you run on you other armor pieces for this build? I saw the stat breakdown, but curious what you built into for mods.
In those opening clips you don’t need pyros, I run solar with one eyed mask, and I’ve gotten multi kills like that a few times.
Calibans hand is going crazy right now as well
You don't have to use maul. Just use it for the slam and use hammers as a super.
I love kepris it’s nice to see it actually recommended
the music you use is like a grill commercial
I've been using this a lot since the buff, but I noticed some things from this video, that I want to change in my build and low, and behold, the servers have been down all day!
Bungies Destiny team is a skeleton crew right now. SONY IS shaking things up over there. Maybe they should rethink letting them buy them out
I was using ACD0 in trials this weekend. This build may be the ticket to the lighthouse.
ACD0 carried me through trials I was using conditional finality and a KA/TL prosecutor with stacks on stacks and charged up and was mowing down anyone with my auto and those who try to get close would get clapped by my thunderclap or ACD my favorite pvp titan build this season!
First game using this was on Pacifica the other team quit😂 too much fun
IT IS SOOOO fun doing the slam in a corner where they are all hiding like rats and u get bunch of kills
You said that some teams adjusted their playstyle to not be grouped together as much?
Did this make your build worse?
If so what did you change in your build when the enemies changed how they played?
Correct me if I'm wrong but Supremacy does not operate under the same rules as the new PVP sandbox, I believe it's operating under the old PVP rules?
Concentration blast has been pretty inconsistent in killing guardians with the explosions for me while playing the control Playlist and even in trials. My point being it is inconsistent and i had wondered if its dmg was not bumped to mimic the current highest guardians health pool of 230 hp. I'll be trying it out again once d2 goes back live.
If you open up the Supremacy node you can select the top variant of Supremacy which does have the changes live. That’s why you see the new damage numbers on my weapon damage in the gameplay. None of this gameplay is from the old sandbox.
That kill at 1:08 is absolutely insane are you serious? I've always loved and used consecration but that feels like way too extreme of a buff, bring back old sunspots and make super useable in any game and it'll be back on the menu
I use the monte carlo outside of trails
Ark Warlocks have something very similar and deadly. While Hunters don’t have 💩. Ark Hunter has a similar move you say? True but the Ark Hunter move don’t kill even one.
I used this last night and got 57 kills in supremacy
1:26 Wait a minute! Did TV just say that Bungie gave [him] a really big bone?! LANGUAGE! young man!
severance enclosure would be better for multikills without nuking your super game. but overall on pc pretty much unless they are blind as a bat or your baiting really hard its a hard pass of an aspect to use. id consider it if the animation was faster ive lost so many potentials just because i cant do it any faster
Best setup for PVE is dragonsbreath with zaolus bane or bxr both can get enhanced pugilist and incandescent monte is not needed. You will have your slam just from a few kills.
Pugilist can’t give you a melee right back. Monte can. And it happens quite often. Monte also does increased damage with Markov chain. Pugilist is simply inferior, it’s why no one uses it
@kingcurmudgeon8685 well you do you I get my melee back almost instant running around with that combo the incandescent triggers pugilist also. So if you want to waste your exotic slot on monte Carlo go for it.
LOVE that you threw Torgue in there 😂
How’s everyone feeling about the upcoming BL movie? 😅
Bungie: We should nerf abilities. They’re too much fun and we want people to use primary weapons like every other game. No more space magic.
The community: …….. but-
Bungie: You’re right. Let’s buff titan melee’s. They should be able to one hit melee multiple people now instead of just one. Leave all of the other changes in place though.
All of yall saying that consecration doesnt work are simply not good enough. Nothing wrong with being bad but you cant comment expecting someone to givw younqdv8xe an fix it you need to improve all aspects of your game.... having good aim doesnt fix bad positioning... your positioning and game sense is effecting your ability to use the ability.
"Guys....it's a really big bone" - TV, 2024
I don’t understand why they are fine-tuning guns and at the same time giving such opportunities to class abilities (and not for all classes)? This is rough and has nothing to do with fine tuning
Me and My Titan homies are definitely talking about this
