This Buff Is Absolutely Insane in Destiny 2 PVP

- Bungie just buffed one of the craziest crowd control abilities in all of Destiny 2 Crucible PVP, it's Consecration for Solar Titans. And it's absolutely insane, this buff can wipe entire teams. Use this build and start destroying team firing, clustering teams right now in PVP.

No joke, Consecration was the only reason I went Flawless this weekend. Literally clutched the last round of the last game!
Lore Accurate Trials Match
What was ur build ?
Does it kill people inside bubble or well? If so then I might consider using it too as it'd be great for corridors and capturing flags
i really appreciate the torgue reference in the beginning, love borederlands
Every time I played Consecretion, I got killed before I managed to land the slam.
Skill issue.
I know TV is top % player and played probably 10-15 games to get few clips but man ....if I challenge 2/3 people I am dead on the slide all ready not having time to even do the animation . .That extra 1m vertical can`t really feel it .
Nah ability is ass vs people who've seen it once I've never died to it either unless I'm fighting another guy and decide to trade 1-1 since I'll die anyways.
In pve its COOL tho.@@simplyfitness892
@@lastdeath1991he’s not as good as you think he is
You gotta time it coming around corners and things like that. It really wasn't hard for me to get kills before, it's hard to do it without a trade so usually, I only did it to groups when I could set it up to not get melted, like doing it around a corner, but you can also just do the first part of the attack and detonate them with a name or any number of things
Arc Warlock is gonna be more valuable as well.
Arc souls=primary forgiveness
Lightning surge=easier to pull off due to less special and more enemy grouping.
Arc warlock also counters the most broken sub to ever exist in d2 aka Strand hunter.
@@fotis3v480Cap. Arc Titan in Forsaken era was by far the strongest subclass in the history of Destiny 2 pvp.
@@alter6243shatterdive hunter in BL would destroy arc titan in forsaken
Similarly, tempest strike on arcstrider is also very very useful at chokepoints
More than Stasis Titan at Beyond Light release? @@alter6243
i love monte carlo! maybe one of my favorite pvp primaries in the game, i remember using it with the thundercrash tree during stasis 120 meta to synthoceps mini slam bunched up teams in trials. of course, bungie had to 3.0 my build and get it OP so that it could be nerfed. ironically, i've switched back to stasis titan now that it's the most underused currently. i have always wanted to play more solar titan as that was the subclass that got me my first seventh column, and this is a huge reason to check it out. thank you, TV!!!
The way consecration works is that any amount of scorch will ignite off of second slam, so I don't think that the additional scorch is necessary
It increases the Scorch spread of the ignitions, that's what allows it to chain kill like this.
The initial wave does so much Scorch that if someone is hit with the first wave and dodges the second, they'll still immediately ignite if you catch another person with the 2nd slam ignition.
Full on reminds me of the heat wave build I used to run on my pyromancer in OutRiders. was so fun for a while.
Yeah ive been eyeing the consecration buffs and they did not disappoint
Honestly dude I used to watch your videos in like Season of Arrivals, before stasis 😅 and you helped me understand some real fundamentals about PvP with your sidearm lol, Thank you dude 💯
I'll have to give this a try in control. Hardly play solar when on titan, this gives me a reason now.
I did not know it had gotten another buff. It’s been pretty fun to play with for the past season due to its good synergy with Pyro, but I will definitely have to lean into it some more. :-)
Good stuff again TV
I really wish bungie would revert the sunspot damage nerf they rolled out because of loreley
They’ve nerfed Titan into the ground it’s insane
I had an enemy dance around in my sunspot while fighting my teammate, and they still won the fight lol
I’ve used consecration with the whole team in the doorway on Citadel. A a few hands on mods and I got my whole super instantly after collecting their crests.
Ran into this in trials and our whole team got 1 shot and it blew my mind
Great video!
What mods do you run on you other armor pieces for this build? I saw the stat breakdown, but curious what you built into for mods.
i love consecration in pve and never once did i ever think to bring it into pvp holy shit this seems insane
Just tried this out (with one eyed mask) the consecration slam is a good tool when used correctly.
Not universally useful but if someone is rushing me or if i have no other options i just do the slamm
Is there any other exotics you suggest for a consecration pvp build, path of burning steps maybe for solar weapons?
TV that intro just made my day 😂
Heal clip + Adagio Parabellum. I wish i could get that for crucible. Best i have is Enlighten action + Frenzy.
I've been killing with consecration even before the buff and now it's way better. But sometimes on pve/pvp, the 2nd part of the attack will go through targets not causing dmg. It might be a bug due to the change in the range/height of the wave.
I’ve been having fun with these and Ticuus. People marked with Flames with just hide out in cover allowing you to move up and well. Boom
More crowd control type buffs like this, please Bungie. Desperately needed.
Honestly might have been my favorite changes in the patch as a solar titan main
I was trying so hard for the sweaty confetti Fools Remedy precision kill on disjunction.
I'm currently running a similar build that leverages the Consecration buffs alongside Ashen Wake. The only real swap is that I run the "Grenade Final Blows Heal You" Ember for a bit more healing over the "More Scorch" one. Losing Burning Maul's roaming is why I tried moving off Pyrogales. They're definitely stronger if you go whole-hog on Consecration though.
What guns do you like running with ashen?
I started practicing glaive and have been able to get some cheeky nade kills with those pointy sticks
@@grouthorax3963 Still figuring weapons out in the new sandbox, but pretty much anything that can get someone to ~20% shield quick work great for yeeting a fireball at them.
@@michaelsparks1571 yeah I figured it would change a bit, I was using a bow way back but it felt too slow
That's when I started experimenting with the glaives.
Also I never gave Eriannas vow a chance, I'm thinking it could be ok but not as good with the special ammo changes
Probably should just go back to a 120 hc
Great video TV! your still my favorite streamer for I love your style of double primary more than a shotgun/sniper crutch!! Keep em coming bro!
Ok you had me at the intro
I've been a part of a consecration 4 piece pre patch. I don't doubt its power.
I decided to try this build in several Supremacy matches although I'm not a Titan main.
It was ridiculously fun to use alongside Monte Carlo or Travelers Chosen. The enemy teams literally adjusted their strategy to hit me with everything they had after I ignited them several times in each match.
One Void Titan I faced in Widows Court saw me about to cook him with Consecration and popped Ward Of Dawn to save his life.
At this point, it's now a game of "who can make the guardians go boom more" 😂
TV I’d love to see you try out or make an updated video on Rat king. I’m not apart of the Vermon cult, and I just used rat king for the first time (more than a game) last night. RAT KING SLAYS! And May be my new main weapon.
its so good i put 1700 kills on it in a fun iron banner week. Sooo fun with void hunter + mechaneers and a disruption break grenade launcher xD
This feels like Striker Titan super from D1....I never thought I would see it again. But here it is...
Calibans hand is going crazy right now as well
I found about how busted this combination on accident. I have Void for PvP and forgot to switch my build one day and when I found out I was on my PvE Solar Build i said F it. Holy moly the slams let to so many multi kills 😂 and quickly became my go to for PvP now.
That sounds amazing lmao
I'm running lorley helm with this build, i was thinking ember of singing(scorching targets recharges class ability energy) over ember of ashes (50% more scorch), thoughts? im using monty carlo and not a weapon with incandescent.
Ah, reminds me slightly of shatter dive. Several button, aerial, 1 hit, AOE ability with looping potential.
I use precious scars. And the bxr. Gives me so much energy cuz of getting restoration from scars and ember or benevolence
do you need to run a specific fragment to get the ignitions? I swear I've hit both attacks on guardians and they don't ignite
Ond of the few times an exotics lore actually translates perfectly in-game
Now I want an exotic for arc hunter's Tempest Strike. It's a very satisfying ability to use and I always catch people off guard with it. Would be cool if an exotic made you ready faster after performing it, but that might be a bit op.
I was using ACD0 in trials this weekend. This build may be the ticket to the lighthouse.
ACD0 carried me through trials I was using conditional finality and a KA/TL prosecutor with stacks on stacks and charged up and was mowing down anyone with my auto and those who try to get close would get clapped by my thunderclap or ACD my favorite pvp titan build this season!
I was on the receiving end of one of TV’s warm greetings, so I can attest you need to jump way higher than you think to avoid!
I love kepris it’s nice to see it actually recommended
It's so nice that Titans have this very powerful aspect that keeps getting buffed, and that to get a much smaller harder to trigger similar effect, hunters have to have to use an exotic, their grenade, (no healing allowed) and their melee, and its much harder to proc with a smaller radius on top of it all. So nice for them.
Love to see the buffs
Hey TV, can you not just use hammer of sol instead of the big hammer if you don’t like the change to the super?
Consecration with pyrogale gauntlets is probably a great jack-of-all-trades ability/exotic combo. On one end it’s a monster in PvE where it demolishes groups of enemies. On the other end, it holds up well in PvP, punishing anyone who groups up with allies in tight corridors or passages
You're right. Most Crucible matches are won by the groups that stay together. Except Mayhem😂
hey whats the smg ur using the solar one ?
Would severance work with this?
The second wave doesn’t apply scorch it causes an ignition on any target that is scorched when hit by the second wave.
You could throw a nade and then cause an ignition with the first wave and after applying scorch the fragment that applies scorch on targets hit by ignitions ignite then again with the second wave.
I was there! Really fun getting dropped into a public match with you and seeing you light up the whole team, tons of fun!
heck yeah i remember emoting with you on eternity lol
@@TrueVanguard i remember watching you blow up that whole team and just screaming to my friend about it
First game using this was on Pacifica the other team quit😂 too much fun
Some weird thing about consecration.
The second wave actually doesn’t cause scorch, it just causes an ignition on ANY scorched target. Theoretically even the slightest bit of scorch would allow the explosion.
I’ll get back to you on that once Destiny is out of maintenance
It's still there should be concluded around 2025
In those opening clips you don’t need pyros, I run solar with one eyed mask, and I’ve gotten multi kills like that a few times.
I have literally never even equipped the consecration aspect. Might have to give it a shot.
Me, too
I think (i need to test) MK 44 work with Consecration if u use hammer and not the bonk one :) 50% back on hits, not kills + the fragment and u always have melee charged :D
Feels so good to be a Sunbreaker again.
just a small correction on your explanation on how consecration works. the 2nd slam does not apply any scorch stacks but acts more like a hunter's weighted throwing knife where it ignites targets regardless of how many scorch stacks they have
TrueVanguard finally showing back up in my feed, and it’s 🔥
I definitely will be trying by pve build in PvP. Just need a few minor changes and I’ll start practicing on getting it right. Didn’t even know it got buffed and I’ve just recently been using it in PvE.
Now that crowd control is better can we have a new Calbain’s hand video?
Need to send these clips to TDT
I been doing this for the longest all I play is Solar Titan been knew about all this way before buffs
nice and all but ill take hallowfire hearts nigh constant ability uptime for no super trade
I've been using this a lot since the buff, but I noticed some things from this video, that I want to change in my build and low, and behold, the servers have been down all day!
Bungies Destiny team is a skeleton crew right now. SONY IS shaking things up over there. Maybe they should rethink letting them buy them out
Correct me if I'm wrong but Supremacy does not operate under the same rules as the new PVP sandbox, I believe it's operating under the old PVP rules?
Concentration blast has been pretty inconsistent in killing guardians with the explosions for me while playing the control Playlist and even in trials. My point being it is inconsistent and i had wondered if its dmg was not bumped to mimic the current highest guardians health pool of 230 hp. I'll be trying it out again once d2 goes back live.
If you open up the Supremacy node you can select the top variant of Supremacy which does have the changes live. That’s why you see the new damage numbers on my weapon damage in the gameplay. None of this gameplay is from the old sandbox.
Me and My Titan homies are definitely talking about this
AMEN MY CLASS IS BUFFED got so excited couldn't spell
i still prefer the Incendiary Grenade + Skyburners combo. It's a little harder to pull off, but you can do it at range and do it around cover. And with the fragment that returns grenade energy it loops even better than Consecration. I personally run it with Armamentarium and a good kinetic slot handcannon for normal dueling. The best part is you can run Consecration with this for even more on demand ignition chains.
Also I may be misunderstanding something but how does Pyrogale improve Concecration? I know it creates the tornado but that happens after the slam kills everyone, and its slow enough that it won't really help clean up any survivors. Unless it does something to the size or speed of the slams that I'm unaware of, then i just don't see why you would use it over something like Dunemarchers.
Feels good to run sunbreaker in pvp, killing those laners feels awesome 😎
I use the monte carlo outside of trails
man I wish i could off your crazy stunts but I get no scoped constantly out of my rise before the slam down
I bought Lightfall this week for 18 euros. So far enjoying being back, I really hope The Final Shape brings back the franchise to much greater heights than recently. I still miss the D1 atmosphere and style tho..
I love pyrogales. I do think it’s funny that it’s a super-augmenting exotic you’d want to switch off of before popping in trials. I’m not sure that’s what Bungie had in mind when they added that penalty 😂
Why not hallowfire heart? Seems like most logical choice for cool downs
Looks like a more reliable Nova Bomb mapped to a melee. Sheesh.
Love the way you play man!
the music you use is like a grill commercial
If you're using something with heal clip, precious scars is dope. I never do well in trials and I was shitting on people with Abyss Defiant
There you go.
YEAHH, KHEPRI'S HORN
this ability is so fun dude, i love it
Shhhhhhhh I've been running it before the changes and it was great back then, it's amazing now especially with a swashbuckler weapon but don't tell the masses
TV, PLEASE see what the news is about Electro Slide on Arclock, it might be in the same situation as Consecration. Add on Spark of Instinct and Feedback.
Can this counter a well?
Consecration is nice to have and gives you some insane outs but need to be very careful when using it because youll die before you get it off usually, at lesst thats my experience on pc/mnk
I need more concentration on my consecration so my melee and enemies can begin consummation.
Wish consecration gave the the cryo clasm slide buff
I managed to get a pretty nasty clutch double kill in trials this weekend using em. I’ve always wanted consecration to be good and it finally is. You can even use a build with shoulder charge and peregrines and rock consecration normally. That way if you’re in the air you can 1 shot shoulder charge or if you’re on the ground you can get a consecration 1 shot
I hadn’t played Titan in pvp in literal years, and went in and did it for hours last week. I still suck, but Consecration made things kinda fun.
This is gonna ve meta this with summoner I'm using kephris horn too lol omgosh blowing up everything
It's phenomenal in PvE as well
throwing hammer needs a bigger aim assist bump. it feels terrible to use at a distance in pvp and pve
Hey Vanguard, something I might recommend if you're running Pyrogale in PvP is switching the super to Hammer of Dawn, so that way you still have a roaming super while getting the effects for your ground slam.
It'd be the best of both worlds. Because yeah, having it be a less than perfect nova bomb in pvp has it's uses, but 9/10 you won't kill that many people.
All in all, I think it's the best call, as Hammer of Dawn is still really good in pvp
Big brain thinking !
But it takes 10 minutes to get that super.
@@kingcurmudgeon8685 But it lasts longer than a 1 and done super that is honestly just a TERRIBLE pvp super
@@kingcurmudgeon8685 So what tradeoffs do you wanna take then?
I was getting WRECKED by someone doing that Titan slam the other day had no idea how to counter as I rarely ever play Titan (no idea what consecration is) haha
You said that some teams adjusted their playstyle to not be grouped together as much?
Did this make your build worse?
If so what did you change in your build when the enemies changed how they played?
So if this is effective against clusters, can we call it the cluster-duck build?
