Also I love that the character played by the lawyers starts the game off with negotiating his adventuring fee.

Nothing like the watching the stream queen, Nick Rekieta, do what he does best, corrupting like no other.
Great show, will be interesting to see how everyone grows into their characters. Nick seems to be the most natural with his character choice of fairy, no surprise there.
Despite being a warlock, Nick definitely give me bard vibes lol
the 20 charisma might have something to do with it. Also the grift king knows how to grit, even as a 5 foot 2 short king fairy

There was a time I felt the greatest shame in entertainment history was not seeing Han, Luke and Leia together again for one final scene.
Now I'm just sad we never got to see Rekieta and TotalBiscuit do a 40k RollPlay together. =(

I'm only like 55 minutes in. This group would not survive most fantasy worlds. But it's extremely entertaining. Just be thankful the DM's job not to actually kill you all.

Nick's character is basically Puck from Berserk.

Ironically the Killer's MO almost lines up enough with Kylar's mission with his God from last campaign so it'd be hilarious if everyone just assumed it was him.

New follower here. I appreciate that the DM plays his NPCs straight, never breaking character or responding in kind to the outrageous nonsense of the players. Without his "straight man" approach to add comedic balance, these streams would not be anywhere near as entertaining, in my opinion.

As someone who has wanted to play D&D the last few years but hasn't found ppl to do it with, I find it very fun to watch these! Just found your channel and loving the beginning so far.

This is definitely interesting. Out of the two shows I would say Secrets of the Frostmaiden is my favorite.

This should be good. I should say I'm only here really for Nick Rekieta and 1/4 Black. That being said, I love Nick and his humor. But part of me wishes he'd take it a TAD more seriously. But I suppose he wouldn't be Nick otherwise. 🤣
His character is the comic relief. I wonder how long it would be before Kylar betrays the party.

After the last campaign and the first 30 minutes of this one, I'm waiting for the DM to drop the hammer at least once for the unnecessary confrontations and general rudeness.

Yes, I expected Frostmaiden to be more serious. But unfortunately they seem to just play themselves again and dick around (this time minus the memes).

Being a pirate is what gave her proficiency with watercraft. She already has a bonus that accounts for that background.

Came looking for Rekieta after watching him interview Edminster Greenwood and finding out he plays.
Will other kinds of tabletop games be played in the future like Vampire the Masquerade, Cyberpunk 2020 or even the Warhammer 40K tabletop game
Erudi showed interest in running a World of Darkness game, he maybe Werewolf. He has also showed interest in Cyberpunk. But currently his plan is for a Starfinder campaign. Less of a learning curve than a completely new system, and completely different in flavor than D&D. Personally I'm hoping for Legend of the Five Rings, but that's because I will always simp for samurai.

Theory crafting:
The bounty hunter at the beginning is a member of the cult to the Frostmaiden and Kylar is in on it(as a part of his character secret). They're calling in nobody adventurers from around with the sirens call of work and fame only to sacrifice them to the Frostmaiden. If they kill too many people of the surroundings they run out of people to sacrifice and are looking to get fresh blood. The murderer is either, fake, or someone that figured it out and is seeking revenge.
WTF is with the fishydwarf? I have one damaged and one undamaged boat, and I want randos to take them out and sink them? I'm thinking the dwarfs are all in on it, DerpShaun is right about dwarfs.
You should totally be able to row a boat and "breathe heavily", which is essentially his breath weapon, at the same time. DnD get with the times! Lol

Viva la Dirt League was the first D&D show I watched and I love it. I think I was spoiled because I couldn't get into this. Everyone except the DM seems a bit standoffish or are just belligerent. Big fan of them as individuals on their channels though.
Give them a few episodes. We humble them a bit 😈

I know I'm late to the party, just finishing up Season 1.. but c'mon.. when you get trapped in a tomb, the first thing you do probably shouldn't be sacrificing the person most skilled/trained in finding secret passages and opening doors.. Kylar's argument never made sense to me

@@ToneSherpa watch an episode of Campaign 3. Every character is some form of non-binary, uses they/them pronouns, and Matt Mercer had a melt down in episode 17 over one of the characters being an “Alpha” werewolf because it was showing “toxic masculinity.”

Yup. I watched the first and second campaigns. Every once in a while, Laura or Liam or ragety Anne would say some woke shit or make some political statement. I could get over that, although it was very annoying. But starting with Exandria and campaign 3, I couldn't do it. It's constant virtue signaling and cringe. Shame.

Balanced parties are boring parties.
Party balance doesn't really matter. They can do well without any melees. Especially if Erudi allows the newest AU with Summon Warrior Spirit, that's basically a same-level fighter.
