That might be impossible, but... a little language nerd stuff incoming. In Old Norse, the word for wolf was 'úlfr'. Old English gives you wulf, which eventually led to wolf. Eventually, anyway... So if one can imagine saying úlfr and then morphing it into wolf, then pronouncing the animal's name should theoretically be possible without dropping the letter 'l'. Or at least I *think* it would be.
