Also what they tell the public shouldn't even matter, not when they themselves notified the staff members that they were going to get laid off no matter the success of TFS. Most devs do not play their own game as much as players do. Look at the creator of Dark Souls lol How much you play your own game also isn't that reflective of why problems in the game exist. The reason problems don't get solved is because devs/qa testers reported it, but management said no to fixing it.

It also didn't help that a dev or qa can bring up these problems to management and ask to work on it but need given a, "don't focus on that, we need more Eververse skins" for a response. Gambit is dead, _CORE_ game mode and it's considered dead, stasis the subclasses we paid good money for has been nerfed over the course of its release and is now a joke if you're not a warlock with bleakwatchers, titans have been nerfed so much there's nearly nothing left to take away. Any build people make feel like something to be skeptical about because of their balance team. Champions being a garbage addition and their issues not going addressed, overloads especially and barriers are being weird this season too, but guess what gets time and investment. Unrelated, but the summer event is here, and it highlights are... the event card and grinding high stat armor ( and it's so unreliable)? When dungeon armor is 70% of the time just better, easier to farm too. I truly want to believe the person who runs this show has some sense, and it seems like they do. The "sense" to keep their communities' expectations low so that when they deliver, the response they get is like the messiah came cause we don't expect anything much from them. Destiny is a beautiful game that does not respect your time or money you've invested as it should. That's on them, though, marathon will be a fumble and Sony will make itself comfortable in their guts soon

Champions are what the game needed for difficulty, new enemies with new mechanics to work around. And don't try to blame this all on the company. "players completing this activity in 5 minute instead of 15 so the activity gets lengthened with garbage" well maybe if the PLAYERS hasn't spent so much time trying to make activities faster and faster to complete because they're bored of playing the same game 8 hours a fucking day, the devs wouldn't have to put said garbage in the game in the first place. I’m closing in on 5k including time spent in orbit but it’s more like 3k active. It will suck a lot if the game dies like this not like a proper farewell just people fading out due to issues with mismanagement. I always felt destiny had the perfect combination between a good story and fun gameplay, I would be open to try warframe but in the past I’ve just never managed to catch on as it feels like I don’t know where to start, plus it’s always hard to leave a multiplayer game that has been no1 played.
5k+ here, I've spent at least a good 500 on this game and god knows what I will do to Bungie's HQ if they close the servers because there's no one left to run them after the layoffs
This is modern corporate default doctrine. Squeeze the actual workers, hollow out the parts of the company that actually provide goods and services to the customer, get line to go up for cost cutting while rewarding yourself a fat bonus, float to a new company with your golden parachute, repeat, hope that you're never the one holding the bag when the company finally faces major consequences. I sincerely hope there is a shakeup that reminds Wall Street that running a company to effectively provide goods an services ensures more stable profits and still makes the line go up, but without risking a crash if more realistic valuations happen.
Sure but people confuse sales with quality all the time (not syaing YOU are, in general), the sales of Lightfall says a lot about how well The Witch Queen peformed and the sales of The Final Shape says a lot about how much Lightfall was a downgrade for the casual campaign-only player compared to WQ.
Light fall sold better based off predictions, Light-fall didn’t need as many sales to sell well because it’s sales predictions weren’t very high. Final shape i think actually did do better but it needed to do incredibly well if it wanted to ‘sell well’ because of how much lightfall set bungie back and how much it cost to make final shape
Lightfall sucking as bad as it did hurt final shape. The hype levels for lightfall were off the charts. The disappointment and distrust it brought really showed in the Financials for final shape

Final Shape needed to be stellar to reassure lapsed players, and with all the hype about how it totally wasn't the end of the franchise we swear guys, they needed to follow up with bigger plans than two or three little seasons per year.
That's because Lightfall destroyed people's hopes for the Final Shape. Litterally everyone I know who plays destiny said they were let down by lightfall and wouldn't be buying Shape day one. I wouldn't mind doing Dual Destiny if it didn't rely on verbal comms, I love the dungeons and exotic missions for communicating their mechanics visually 99% of the time, solo-able sure but easier with a team as well, all without microphones. In DD unless you have the typing speed of a speedstar text chat takes too long and for players without keyboards it takes too long to type anything.

I am not spending a single penny in events, glamour, expansions, passes, and new games entirely for this company anymore. If TFS didn't save them, there is nothing left to be saved. Destiny 2 for new players is so confusing I'm sure that alone has stopped Bungie from being a bigger success... Firstly like most looter shooters it's oriented to PC players first just looking at the Ui/UX... The amount of distraction lore, text on HUD, navigation, I'm sure they are losing people before they can even reach the Tower Hub world... For me personally it took 4 separate tries over a few years to reach the Tower... But I was never able to leave the Tower... Basically this game is not interesting enough to stick around for the confusion I hope they focus more on small indie shooter games for Sony
First of all the first gt500 didn’t come out till 67. Second, if it’s a legit gt500 that thing is going for way more than 200k. However, Pete buying cars didn’t tank the company. Try warlocks for heavy nerfs, we just got well of dawn, a staple in every raid since DAY FUCKING ONE nerfed into the ground, so much that I'd rather try to solo dungeons with stasis or strand now rather than waste myself with a well.

Destiny is easily my most played game
I’m closing in on 5k including time spent in orbit but it’s more like 3k active. It will suck a lot if the game dies like this not like a proper farewell just people fading out due to issues with mismanagement.
I always felt destiny had the perfect combination between a good story and fun gameplay, I would be open to try warframe but in the past I’ve just never managed to catch on as it feels like I don’t know where to start, plus it’s always hard to leave a multiplayer game that has been no1 played.
5k+ here, I've spent at least a good 500 on this game and god knows what I will do to Bungie's HQ if they close the servers because there's no one left to run them after the layoffs

This is modern corporate default doctrine. Squeeze the actual workers, hollow out the parts of the company that actually provide goods and services to the customer, get line to go up for cost cutting while rewarding yourself a fat bonus, float to a new company with your golden parachute, repeat, hope that you're never the one holding the bag when the company finally faces major consequences.
I sincerely hope there is a shakeup that reminds Wall Street that running a company to effectively provide goods an services ensures more stable profits and still makes the line go up, but without risking a crash if more realistic valuations happen.

Actually Lightfall sold better than final shape. Everyone says final shape is the best DLC but it did not sell well.
Sure but people confuse sales with quality all the time (not syaing YOU are, in general), the sales of Lightfall says a lot about how well The Witch Queen peformed and the sales of The Final Shape says a lot about how much Lightfall was a downgrade for the casual campaign-only player compared to WQ.
Light fall sold better based off predictions, Light-fall didn’t need as many sales to sell well because it’s sales predictions weren’t very high. Final shape i think actually did do better but it needed to do incredibly well if it wanted to ‘sell well’ because of how much lightfall set bungie back and how much it cost to make final shape
Lightfall sucking as bad as it did hurt final shape. The hype levels for lightfall were off the charts. The disappointment and distrust it brought really showed in the Financials for final shape

Final Shape needed to be stellar to reassure lapsed players, and with all the hype about how it totally wasn't the end of the franchise we swear guys, they needed to follow up with bigger plans than two or three little seasons per year.
That's because Lightfall destroyed people's hopes for the Final Shape. Litterally everyone I know who plays destiny said they were let down by lightfall and wouldn't be buying Shape day one. A few caved and bought it. But over half of them just watched us playthrough, clapped, cheered, cried, then didn't buy it. It's called destroying trust.

I wouldn't mind doing Dual Destiny if it didn't rely on verbal comms, I love the dungeons and exotic missions for communicating their mechanics visually 99% of the time, solo-able sure but easier with a team as well, all without microphones.
In DD unless you have the typing speed of a speedstar text chat takes too long and for players without keyboards it takes too long to type anything.

I am not spending a single penny in events, glamour, expansions, passes, and new games entirely for this company anymore. If TFS didn't save them, there is nothing left to be saved. Firstly like most looter shooters it's oriented to PC players first just looking at the Ui/UX...
The amount of distraction lore, text on HUD, navigation, I'm sure they are losing people before they can even reach the Tower Hub world...
For me personally it took 4 separate tries over a few years to reach the Tower... But I was never able to leave the Tower...
Basically this game is not interesting enough to stick around for the confusion

First of all the first gt500 didn’t come out till 67. Second, if it’s a legit gt500 that thing is going for way more than 200k. However, Pete buying cars didn’t tank the company. Trying to do too much and spreading themselves thin did. Bungie executives got over zealous and game devs lost their jobs because of their poor management. But yes I think CEO’s make way too much money. They also get a golden parachute when they leave which is bs. Like who gets rewarded for doing a shit job.
