I did something similar not too long ago. I discovered that my AC and a fan were both blowing onto it. Just letting it sit for a couple months did let it cure properly. So the pieces weren't a total loss. Not sure what your problem was, but you might consider cold air blowing near your work??
Soft in colour of soft as in your resin bent? Did you work in the right temp? fill it enough? leave it ling enough? add too much pigment? These could all contribute to it. So sorry it didn't work out.
