    I have this system too. I finally figured out the best way to use it this year. So accumulate all the bales first then take out the dividers and leave in one of the end ones but make sure to move it to the inside hole otherwise the grapples wont line up with the bales correctly. They will stack much better/tighter and you can rotate your layers of hay.

      This is the first I've stacked with it. We are selling the hay and the stacks are only temporary. But yes, I think you're right about taking the dividers out and rotating the stacks. The stack is way too loose with the dividers in. I've only stacked by hand before. I'm learning! Thanks for watching and commenting!!

    I just bought one of these and love it, makes square bales easy. I used it to gather and load our trailer, I took all the dividers and bars off except the right one, Converted it to a grapple and put 300 bales of hay into a very tight horse barn with it. Worked great!

    Even though it seems slow this is the way to go. I really enjoy being the one in the skid steer and collecting bales. Having a tracked skid steer would be nice because you aren't compacting your field with a truck and trailer. You can even turn without digging in. If you put me in that machine I wouldn't get out until the job was done!

      True It isn't the fastest but sure is nice not having to handle the bales by had. I'm not real good with the grapple yet but I'll get better. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!

    That grapple setup is pretty slick. If I tried to do that with the bales & grapple like you did there, I'd probably end up with busted bales. LOL Thanks for the ride along. Take care.

      I did bust a couple but better than picking them up by hand. Thanks for watching!!

      @@stinsonfarms6724 It's alot quicker and cheaper to pull a wagon behind the baler.

    That works well! I have thought about getting one, but a lot of our hay storage is upstairs in barns, so it really wouldn't help much lol

    • @stinsonfarms6724
      @stinsonfarms6724  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can see it wouldn't help much going up in the barn but it sure helps the back getting it out of the field. Thanks so much for watching!!

    Wow that is awesome! I have never seen one of those before but it looks like it does the trick. It works a whole lot better than I would have thought just by thinking about it but I’ve never ran one so I don’t know. Saves a lot of work and energy!

    Back in the 80’s we had a New Holland stack liner that we used to bring the baked hay up to the barn to be put in the mow. That piece of equipment looks like it does a great job for you. Where in Western Kentucky are you? I worked in Elizabethtown. Nice new barn there!

    • @stinsonfarms6724
      @stinsonfarms6724  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those New Holland stack liners are nice machines. If you're doing a lot of square bales they are the thing to have. The grapple works great. I'm not real fast with it but I'll get better. We are in Huntsville Ky. 15 minutes west of Morgantown and about 40 minutes west of Bowling Green. Thanks for watching!!

    How may layers high will the skid steer stack

    • @stinsonfarms6724

      It will stack 8 comfortably. I can do 9 but the bales rub. Thanks for watching!!

    I also use this on tracked machine. Watch the barn rafters and dont turn sharp on the field. Getting a big trailer would save you alot of time running.

    • @stinsonfarms6724
      @stinsonfarms6724  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have found the barn rafters! Lol It does tear the ground up more than I expected. Have to make wide turns. I have used a trailer, just haven't mastered unloading yet. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

  • @daveknepp7718

    By stacking all the bales in the same direction won't that make the stack unstable?

    • @stinsonfarms6724
      @stinsonfarms6724  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. I don't like to stack it like that. But don't plan on it being there too long. By the time I get all the hay cut it will be stacked from wall to wall. If you drop the partitions off the grapple then you can stack ether direction. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!

    I enjoyed everything about this video except for one thing, that annoying backup beeper Bell designed for telling the intellectually challenged people to get out of the way. I'd take a hammer to that thing and smash it in a hundred million pieces.
