    Another wonderful upload!
    I believe I speak for a large portion of your followers when I say the reason the "negative feedback" videos tend to get more views is simply because it's refreshing to see a YT content creator with honest opinions.
    We're spending a lot of money on vacation and it's just nice to hear honesty vs sponsored positives!
    Appreciate all your hard work!

      Thanks very much. I’ll be honest, I think a big part of it is because the internet is in love with shock value- but you make a good point as well ☺️. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

      @@tfft You're right, that the internet loves to hate on things, but your negative reviews hit different, as you're clearly just disappointed rather than raging for the sake of raging.
      Also, they're far and away in the minority on your channel - the fact that you have so many positive reviews are your bona fides, as they show you're not trying to shock for engagement - when a place/flight is negative, it deserves it.

    Just booked the Arlo for 4 nights in July. The only place that was 4 Star below £1,000 for the stay in manhattan. Was a little concerned but now seeing this, I’m so much more relieved!

      Yah, the concept is basic enough that I can't really imagine there every being a problem! Thanks for watching 🩴

    Respectfully reminded that New York City drinking water from the tap is the best in the universe coming from the Ashoken reservoir in the beautiful and pristine Catskill mountains and hence bottled drinking water in the room would been redundant at best and a big waste at worst. Growing up in New York I never drank a drop of water from a bottle. And even living in Saigon for the past 30 years and where I think you are now.... I only drink water from bottles when not at home. At home my wife boils the water and we drink it the same way water has been consumed for centuries. Otherwise as usual... a great review!

      Sure- I’m from NY originally, I just don’t like the taste 😉… as for Saigon, watch out for the heavy metals that remain after boiling, long term effects are just too serious- that’s some water that I stay far away from. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

    Hopefully there are eight venues called Nearly Ninth, so that they can say each one is nearly the ninth time they've used the same gag.

    Wow your review and editing skills are superb!! I only came to see what the hotel looks like but you gave me the sprinkles, fudge sauce and side of cake for my basic vanilla ice cream! Booked and SUBSCRIBED!!

    Can someone please explain how this Hotel was "out of stock" on the bottled water? With 7/11/convenience stores nearby go buy some! Anyway the terrace was absolutely gorgeous and made the room, l wouldn't be fussed about coffee in the room with a take out available downstairs within the Hotel. Another honest and great review👍

    • @tfft
      @tfft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I think being out of stock is ridiculous as well, but I’m guessing they were out of stock of their own branded glass bottles of water. I’m not sure of it, but this certainly seems like a hotel that wouldn’t use plastic and glass bottled water are not easy to come by in New York unless you have a wholesale supplier.

    I've stayed at the arlo pretty much every time I've made a personal trip to NY. I wish it had more room in front of the bed to get to the terrace 😂 but other than that I could care less that it is small. The ADA rooms have more space if needed. The midtown rooms have a hammock on the larger terraces. I took daily naps outside.

    Great review! Any recommandation for a good hotel well located for a couple?
    We will be there for a 2 days romantic weekend (like restaurant, party, take pictures, attraction, etc.).
    Thank you!

    Greet by name...They probably have facial recognition software that ID's you when you walk in..Still a nice touch though..

    No coffee. Not even instant one. No complains.

    • @tfft
      @tfft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      …and? When I mention about something it’s relative to reasonable expectations. An espresso machine in a 3.5 star hotel in Manhattan is not expected (and instant coffee sachets are not a thing in the US…).

    This hotel is three star at it best. For 300$ the room so small cheap looking storage boring exterior and soso location.

    • @tfft
      @tfft  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      By NYC standards, it’s a solid 4-star property- room size (big or small) doesn’t change that. We definitely don’t look forward to staying at any 3 star hotels in Manhattan! 🤣 Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

      It’s NYC in the middle of Manhattan. of course it’s gonna be small!!

    • @tfft

      Plus the standard rooms without terraces were under $200. Dare I say, a bargain in midtown.
