18:00 on the left is Brooklyn Bowl on the right is the Wythe Hotel and I assume if the director keeps walking further down past Wythe Avenue on Metropolitan avenue 6 blocks away on the right is Nitehawk Cafe. Did hipsters really ruin the area by the way? Williamsburg in the 1980s was one terribly bad neighborhood. But yeah Williamsburg is basically priced at Manhattan prices so it is way too expensive. 18:55 Williamsburg hotel on the right. Edit: 32:05 the director does not make a right on Metropolitan Avenue and instead continues on Wythe. But they came close to viewing what I wanted them to view half a block to the right. 37:10 you see the Williamsburg Bridge. Further down Brooklyn you come to the Manhattan Bridge then the Brooklyn Bridge. East River. Other side of Manhattan you have the Hudson River. I believe the whole bay is called brackish. Its where the sea meets the river but if you put your hand in the super polluted water and dare to smell your hand it smells like a mix of pond water and salt water. Fairly disgusting. Long Island beaches are nice though. Edit: thing I hated the most about my 8 months in New York was every person is like "nowhere is better then this" "anywhere is better then this" " nowhere is better then this" "anywhere is better then this" like finding someone with a balanced opinion of NYC is so difficult. Every view there is so extreme. What I loved most about NYC? People who go try and live there for a month then leave will talk about how the city is basically an outdoor insane asylum and anyone who lives there and does not think they are crazy are even crazier. But since NYC is basically a giant airport with people moving in and out all the time New Yorkers consider someone who lives there a month a New Yorker. "You came and became part of the city for a portion of your life. You are a New Yorker wether you like it or not." Meaning if you came for a month and think the city is basically a huge outdoor jail full of crazies well you are one of them. 😄 haha I just wish Miami could adopt that attitude. Miami is like "if you don't like the beach get the @$#& out and never come back" and while Miami is basically another airport city no one in Miami cares if you don't want to be in Miami just leave. Same with NY but they step it up a notch. "Leave but understand you are one of us and that will never change." I loved being one of the crazies there for awhile but eventually yes the insanity builds up and its time to go. Loved it there. Hated to leave. Had to do it. Cannot wait to return.
I remember me and my boys riding our bikes from where we lived on Grand St between Humboldt and Graham all the way to the Domino factory by the water in the late 60's early 70's.......NOTHING like it looks today.....
Hi. Such a cool video & very Interesting as there's no post production music added. The sound of the city is just perfect. I'm curious on how did you recorded this walk with such a great audio quality. External micro , smartphone or DSLR camera , GoPro maybe ? I wonder. Congrats !!!

Sky high rents in Manhattan have led people to Brooklyn in search of lower rents. The area from about the 59th Bridge to the Williamsburg Bridge has become a favorite location for what you call "hipsters".
Recall my Willamsburg of 45 years back when Schaffer Beer was on Kent Ave. The Willamsburg, Commodore and the Marcy where the three movie theaters on Broadway Ave when Leo’s Pizza on Broadway was Steve’s Hamburgers. When the Nine NYPD house was manned by 6 foot tall Irish cops who would embody the image respect and was located next to P.S. 16 and when there were no corn huskers from Idaho or snowflake hippesters posing as “yo I am from Brooklyn” ha please.
My grandparents owned and lived in 100 No. 7th & 101 No. 7th street. My parents, aunts, uncles, cousins lived and grew up there in the 40's, 50's, 60's. Back half of the block was all meat packing plants, loading docks, etc. Used to walk to McCarren Park to go swimming with my older cousin. This was all Polish neighborhood then. All yuppified now. Where do all these young kids get the money to spend at such a young age?

I always wondered who these walking videos deal with women walking in front of them in shorts or curvy women in general. Recording to make a video but then it looks creepy with a guy walking around with women in front and nobody else around. I saw a TH-camr who never paused (never skipped) his walking videos. He did this only that time when two women were walking in front of him,the sidewalk was narrow and was a quite alley. Love these videos though. Great job. 👍
You didn’t even scratched the surface of Williamsburg’s. Williamsburg is bigger than what you showed us there. You’re missing the Jewish side of it, the south side of it and near the navy yard of it, going close to Marcy projects.
The two kids you passed were me and my brother near the giant snail😂😂
Excellent look at the new Williamsburg,,I thoroughly enjoyed it.. you have won a new fan..Keep it up.
Great stuff, love these vids and I can't get enough of NYC. You've got a new sub :)

Seemed like half the people you look at have their noses deep into their phones lol.
Super!
I was born and raised there. Left many years ago. It was really beautiful. Hipsters have ruined it with making the rents go up so high.
