Great video as always, my friend, and I truly think that this should be a new series - super interesting info on what could have been in our collection 🙂
Andy, it seems that we may actually get the REBOR Retrosaur InvictaRex/Harryhausen Ceratosaurus combo at some point. On The Dinosaur Toy Forum, REBOR indicated that factory issues caused the cancellation/postponement of multiple models, including the Lonesome George Pinta Island Tortoise Grab-n-Go figure just as factory production was to begin. REBOR has apparently solved those factory issues, shown by the release of Lonesome George, and they plan to catch up on some of the lost releases, including the Retrosaur Rex/Cerat combo. I would also point out that REBOR numbers the Grab and Go series, each figure has a number, with the Komodo Dragon/Megalania figure being number 01, and they have only just now caught up to where the Spinosaurus would be. Technically, they haven't actually missed it yet. Just sayin...
This is potentially great news! They have so many phenomenal figures that never were released that they could probably not sculpt another figure for a year or two and still have regular releases. Thank you so much for the info!
Thoughts- 1.I really like this video Idea, would like to see more 2. I already expected rebor to own half the list 3. Given how Mesozoic Life is going, I don't think it's getting released either to be frank 4. What is it with spinosaurus-related things getting lost to circumstance? Even the fossils got bombed. Once again, would like to see some more of these. A good idea potentially is common figures that are now extremely rare(like the safari scutosaurus)? Perhaps that will be interesting .
Those Rebor “Primal Rage” releases never materializing still stings. Only reason I bought the “Blizzard” gorilla figure. Renor also teased a Beast Wars Megatron Rex around the same time I was looking forward to.
Some nice deep cuts. Personally I will never get over of the unreleased Dan LoRusso Battats - esp Gigantoraptor. Waited forever for that Rebor Grab n Go Spino and rex - and by the time the rex was released it was too skinny. Still got it though. (Most recent Spino I got was the first Carnegie sculpt - can't go wrong with a classic.)
You should make a video about the unreleased Battat Terra figures- 6 new figures were scheduled for 2015 (5 had already painted prototypes) plus another 8 figures from the original Battat series planned for a reissue with new paintjobs. All the pictures are on dinotoyforum and still heartbreaking (David worked on these figures in his last months and that's why the Majungasaurus wasn't finished). So here's 13 figures that wasn't released. And to the 2007 National Geographic's Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure documentary there was a Dolichorhynchops figure planned but unfortunately that wasn't also released.
What a _shame_ about Chronicle Collectables (😔). I for one would've _loved_ that articulated "JP" Velociraptor. Yet, on the other hand, I'm _kinda_ glad I didn't pursue purchasing any actual Chronicle Collectables' products knowing that they *stole* from consumers.
I'm really sad that rebor isn't (currently) making retrosaur figures anymore. I loved every retrosaur figures they teased and even currently I'm still trying to find a mesozoic rhapsody for sale but since they aren't in production anymore it's very hard.
Always good to see what we could have had, I was really hoping the Rebor Invicta Rex would have made it into production. I wonder if it might have been a legal or a production issue?
Sure, the Chronicle Super Articulated Velociraptor looked great in its promo shots, but if Chronicle's other stuff was anything to go off of, the final product would've been severely lacking in the paint department.
@@andysdinosaurreviews I could 100% see you doing an unboxing and review of the figure and then doing a repaint video later, like with the Mattel Buck.
4:28 that is so upsetting and enraging on a molecular level. I hope they get rinsed in court and ordered to pay everyone they ripped off and i hope another company can get access to their patent which will actually do something with it.
@@andysdinosaurreviews It just seems like such a distant past- kind of crime to have happen! with the boom in creativity, collecting, startups and how they are promoted through social media like never before.. no one can hide! and if your prototypes are good and your ideas are good, they will spread and find willing supporters that could then provide the means for infrastructure to turn into production and profit.. so its really more costly not to do this and to deceive- you have to try really hard or be really dumb and inept to scam people
Wait a minute?! Chronicle Collectibles never made that articulated Raptor AND stole people's money?! I had been waiting for that figure for a long time, but I didn't the pre-order page at BBTS get taken down and was on Chronicle's site, only right? Which is always sus for 3rd Party conpanies, but rate, when they have an actual licensing deal. Didn't they also offer an articulated 1/12th or 1/6th scale Alan Grant to go with the Raptor? Or am I remembering that wrong? 🤔 I wouldn't worry too much about the Rebor stuff. They've bern pretty dependable. Rebor has a pretty strict quality control for their product and they ran into issues with one of the factories they were using that was knocking off there product. Not sure what was the end result of if they got their original molds back (most likely KO company using duplicates), but they're not using that factory ever again and have their production isdues sorted out elsewhere. Anyway, I believe Rebor are going to catch back up on those, but they do react pretty positively to demand on what customers want, ask, and buy. Keep up the good work, bro! 👊😜🍻
really disappointing about the retro style dinosaurs not being released, even though the invicta style rex might still be ,the others are a loss, because retro style dinosaurs are more popular than companies would believe...id rather have them than another spinosaurus or t rex figure..
Honestly the chronicle collectible articulated velociraptor was such a missed opportunity
Man, I really wanted that Rebor Ceratosaurus. The entire line of Retrosaurus was very promising.
Same. Im kinda pissed after seeing this upload tbh lol
I love this segment because show the figure that never got released. Awesome video, Andy 🌷🤗.
Such a bummer the prestosuchus was never released, it looked so cool :[
I really hope Rebor comes back to that Ceratosaurus cause it looks so cool!
Nice! It's such a shame that these models were cancelled or unreleased due to budget concerns.
Great video as always, my friend, and I truly think that this should be a new series - super interesting info on what could have been in our collection 🙂
Great idea for a video! Would have loved the Kaprosuchus.
Chronicle Collectibles Raptor 😮
Mesozoica Vintage Dinosaurs😮
Rebor Invicta Tyrannosaurus Rex
Awesome video Andy!!
Yes more videos like this please😊

i just wish that they would update more often on the status of these figures, it can go for over a yr with no updates..
I wish we got the Ultimatesories back in the day.
Sorry I hope I didn't butcher that name.
Man that articulated raptor would’ve been amazing. Holy crap!

We need more prestosuchuses
Safari
I definitely would like to see more of type of video.
I would have loved to have that red and black version of Californication.
We need Part 2 :)
YES ! Part 2 part 2 part 2 -Spongebob
Those Rebor “Primal Rage” releases never materializing still stings. Only reason I bought the “Blizzard” gorilla figure. Renor also teased a Beast Wars Megatron Rex around the same time I was looking forward to.
It’s a shame that green Carnotaurus wasn’t released. I probably would’ve bought it.
Whaaaaat we totally got robbed of that presto. That looks nice

Funny enough I've actually been wanting to make that video for a little while now. I just need to find all the images I can for it.

That's what I was wondering as well. Could be.
Such a shame, the companies that could give us these incredible works of art, refuse to do so.
Shame, Shame, Shame
Yep, its official. Old school vintage dinosaurs still look cooler than the latest interpretations. Not even close tbh.
Yeah was wondering what happened to all those retro dinosaur figures that got announced.
Sure, the Chronicle Super Articulated Velociraptor looked great in its promo shots, but if Chronicle's other stuff was anything to go off of, the final product would've been severely lacking in the paint department.
You're most definitely right.
@@andysdinosaurreviews I could 100% see you doing an unboxing and review of the figure and then doing a repaint video later, like with the Mattel Buck.
Oh rats. I would’ve expected Rebor to release those Figures.
I'm so sad Mezosoica never even started as a brand, Crystal Palace Dinosaurs figures are very hard to find, much less in that detailed modeling.
4:28 that is so upsetting and enraging on a molecular level. I hope they get rinsed in court and ordered to pay everyone they ripped off and i hope another company can get access to their patent which will actually do something with it.
Couldn't agree more. One of the most despicable endings to a company I've ever heard of.

Curious how many canned rebor figures we have so far.
Le spinosaurus rebor est mon préféré de la liste
I am still hoping that Rebor releases their Giganotosaurus. It would be such a waste. I also hope they give us their Yutyrannus.

nanmu therizinosaurus
That's a good one too!
Happy to see that inaccurate half assed W dragon raptor cancelled
