Cool, but what about calendar TBO? The 505 is pitched at a price against the R66, to appeal to private owner-pilots, who will fly less than 100hrs a year. Calendar life is therefore more important than those 3,000 hours (which would take 30 years to use). So, what is the Calendar TBO of the Arrius 2R?

Aaah, welcome to retirement index ... this gets a lot of operators into trouble, such as when corrosion happens or parts/materials/consumables otherwise degrade, although duty cycles/operational time is well below overhaul values..
"Hangar rot" in many forms..

A beautiful little engine, minimum parts count to do job, small lightweight fast parts, moving more air more efficiently..
Fewer smaller parts also means less warmup /cooldown phase time, making operation more efficient during shorter duty cycles.
*RC turbine engines are even simpler, & have FADEC too!
