HE DIDN’T HIDE ANYTHING, DIDN’T EVADE ANY QUESTION. HE WASN’T ‘IMAGE-CONSCIOUS’ (AS STARS OFTEN ARE) - IN FACT HE REVEALED THINGS THAT AREN’T EVEN IN HIS BIOGRAPHY! AT THE END, GRACIOUSLY, HE THANKED ME -AND SENT KISSES TO ALL OUR VIEWERS!
It is one of the best interviews I have ever seen and heard. You lady are a class act. Kind, tactful intelligent intersted in Jackie without giving the air of prying into his life. Yet, you asked such important questions and so many things others do not even touch.
Jackie is an honest person and he can always sense if the other person is kind repsectful and honest with a real interest in him. So, he gave you all the information you asked for. And he told us the viewers also so much more than he usually says, because of you lady.

In his second biography from 2016 we can learn from those things he only told you and no other interviewers. Now, we could read those things but before there was nothing. The only interview that touched on his relationships and marriage was yours. And he said one sentence in a Korean fun interview, that's all.

It is true hard times what the greats are made of.Sadly enough we won't find a Jackie Chan or a Leonel Messi at the place, where they should have been- at the top of a state delivering goodness and justice to its people.

This is one of the best interviews with Jackie I have ever seen because of Her, she realy listen to him and ask him deep questions he feel it and he open himself more then ever. I've heard about Peking opera but never this much and details from his training, its just crazy, I cannot even imagine it. But it works in a good way because it brings realy special characters like Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao... And about hollywood, actualy hollywood kills Jackies potencial, Makes him slower, dont let him space and you can see it in his newer movies, because if you compare his old movies as Police storyes, Armour of god, Wheels on Meals, Dragons Forever... those are treasure.

I became teary eyed..what an interview!! credit must go to the brilliant Simi Garewal..an articulate, humble and gracious lady who always connects to her interviewees because she is genuinely interested in the person she interviews..and of course the man who is unapologetic about his past because it has shaped him to become the compassionate, wonderful human being he is today - Jackie Chan.
I love the fact that he truthfully accepts his mistakes; just makes him even more appurtenant. He does not hide under a cloak of lies to come across superficially ethical. He is as real as you and i, making him the perfect celebrity.

I think the appeal of Jackie was the fact that he was doing those stunts himself and putting the bloopers and his injuries at the end of his movies endeared him to his fans because we felt that he was putting his life on the line to entertain us and we greatly appreciated that. At least I did and I loved him more for that reason.

First saw u when I was a teenager about 45yrs. ago. Saw u in 2 movies. Compared to other actresses, u left an indelible impression of being classy, sophisticated & totally charismatic. This is by far the best , in depth interview with Jachie Chan, I love that there's instant connection and great vibes between this beautiful graceful Indian lady interviewer with her lovely British English accent and Jackie seems so happy, funny and completely honest, open , narrating all his life's story from a tough childhood , how he survived his family's poverty, fulfilling his father's will, his love life , how he overcome a lot of hardwork as a stunt man , suffered a lot of injuries during each filming for his Asian fans and ultimately gain the admiration , respect from millions of fans from the US and to become a global icon....
It was not only his love for doing comedy action movies but also his love for the underprivileged children that he cares about...
I love his pure heart , admirred his detetmination, enthusiasm to learn to speak better English by himself even without any prior formal education and his emphasis that being rich and famous is not important but to give back to the less fortunate tru charity donations and supporting or helping out all his staff ,workers for their entire life was the best gift anyone can get from this amazing wonderful human being and iconic star....👌👐👐👐🌟🌟🌟 Thank you ma'am for this lovely interview with JC.... Jackie is so real and honest. And because of that sometimes people might assume him to be arrogant. But that's just him being real. And I love that about him. He doesn't seem to have the need to pretend and present himself before others as a perfect guy. Because no one is perfect and he is man enough to embrace his flaws and at the same time he knows how good his skills and talents are and he knows what he is best at and he knows all his strengths as well. I love his realness and passion. He is so frank and clear at his words. I just simply love and respect him. 💜

To be able to ask questions at the end like, "could you've loved more?" makes Simi Garewal a great interviewer. And Jackie's answer "learning, still learning" makes him what he is today.
I dont think i have seen #JackieChan being so comfortable with any Host! He just seems to have eased into Simi's wavelength. Considering his limitations with English, this was a smooth interview*. What #SimiGarewal could bring out of Jackie is amazing!! Probably one of the best Jackie Chan interviews ever!

Simi is one of the greatest interviewers of all times, I have had the privilege to rediscover her interviews recently and I do beleive I have hit a gold mine. Sadly we don't have such great, articulate and classy interviewers at this time.

He has openly written about them and the errors he has made in the past in his books because he wished to spare young people in similar situations from making the same mistakes in life that he did. Though admirable, I think that Jackie needs to realize (that just like his younger self) that most young people will probably ignore his wise advise because they, of course, know better and will most likely learn from their own mistakes.

Two amazing folks - a master interviewee and an expert interviewer! The only part where he didn’t want to really share was with whom he had an emotional connection. There is something more than that meets the eye. He has someone but he doesn’t want the world to know yet.

I saw him in person in 2 successive days. In 2016 or 2017 I was sitting in the bar at the Shangrila Hotel in Dubai and he was seated at the sofa less than 3 feet away from me. I saw him again at the Shang Palace restaurant in Shangrila. On both occasions I didn’t attempt reach out and disturb him. Many others did. He looks exactly as how we see him in movies.

I had never imagined his life would have been like that. He had gone through so much since before he was born and then that peiking opera school that tortured him and all the students. From 7-17 its the most important age for a person because you build ypur personality ,your thoughts, your character. What you develop during that age will be the fundamental of the rest of your life ,thats how important that age is. And to hear that during those 10 long years he was only taught how to be strong and rutheless but never taught how to love, how to respect,how to be a decent human, to know that during the most difficult period of his life ( going from being a little kid who needs love from grown ups to a teenager who also will want to develop sexual attraction towards other people to an adult who maybe needed the world to understand him) and he had none of this things. The most important things in life. To love and to be loved. To show compassion and to feel compassion. He was never shown what love really is, he was never shown love in his life , he never knew what love can do or how to be loved feels like so i dont blame him for not loving anyone and for sort of being a play boy. I liked how honest he was about not wanting to marry and how he understood he had to take responsibility for his son. I also liked how he was honest about the part of him being selfish and only caring about money and fame. Most of celebrities start their careers for the same reason and continue for the same reason and never admit it . So i really liked how he admitted that "Yes. I wanted to be rich, i wanted to be famous, i wanted the whole world to know me" he didnt hide it and most importantly he wasnt ashamed from that. In many interviews i have seen of Jackie i always thought of him as a person who doesnt feel love and is always in search for adventures,a person who cant slow down . Like not really a person who wants to marry or has a family or children. Cuz i never saw him as a husband or father. I never knew why i felt this but guess i was right . And guess we cant blame him. This interview was amazing and it showed me(us) a side of Jackie that i never knew existed

Now that I think of it yeah. Around 10-17 the time he was in that school you go through puberty. You learn to laugh, cry, and have sexual thoughts. When you are young you learn your morals. But in that school none of that was allowed.
You do it so beautifully Simi. I absolutely love the way you shoot questions so calmly that makes your guest take a moment and think real deep and realize things in a way. You are awesome. I wish this show was still on.

Simi Garewal is the best interviewer I've seen on TH-cam, not one of. She is definitely the best when it comes to interviewing the legendary Jackie Chan. I've watched a lot of American hosts interviewing Jackie Chan but this interview by Simi Garewal just feels special and nothing like the others.
