It does have a battery-hold mode as well as a battery-charge mode. When you switch the mode to Hybrid a menu pops up in the center display for you to change the suspension as well as the hybrid stragtegy. You can see it when you pause the video at 5:04.
Re: the ventilated seats: Your car has the leather free Pepita seats and they don’t allow for ventilation at Porsche (since forever with this trim). If you go for Leather trims you can get both Ventilation and massage (even in the back if you go for the individual seats) for a somewhat reasonable price Hope you still read this :)
But it depends on the seat you choose. Historically massage was available only with the 14-way seats, and not available with the 18-way version. I believe that’s still the case for 2025. I’m surprised if ventilation is actually available with Pepita, since that’s a fabric that doesn’t have the ventilation holes that leather has.
Hew Crew, two corrections: 1) PCCBs are standard on the Turbo S E-Hybrid, not optional as I said in the video. (2) Though the Euro tester I was driving didn't have ventilated or massaging seats, they are optionally available!
My whole life I’ve been taught to let the engine warm up before go hammering on it. Makes me wonder about engine longevity when the first start up from overnight is slamming the gas pedal from a light or stop sign
It's so expensive but it might the definition of the perfect balance between comfort, luxury, pure speed and performance. I mean all these comfort features like soft close, the doors that have infinite stages of positions, massage seats, rear axel steering, EV/Hybrid capabilities and all the other goodies put together with this new Porsche advanced suspension that not only gives you comfort features but simultaneously increases performance. And then you have the mighty V8 that can go 0-60 in 2,7 seconds while having a Porsche steering feeling which is best in class by a mile
Yeah, Decaf still has caffeine.... as animated as he is I would hate to see him on regular caffeine... might be like that guy that went to jail for being addicted to caffeine.... they arrested him thinking he was on drugs but its caffeine.... that was a funny video.... I never seen someone have addiction to caffeine and end up getting arrested....LOL
Yep, small traces of caffeine that isn't completely roasted out. I think the difference for me is that I'm not dead to the world if I don't have a cup of decaf coffee, but I have many friends who would be a slug if they skipped their morning cup of caffeinated coffee.
The 4+1 seat option has those cup holders there, the 4-seat standard have them in a different position between the seats plus a rear central display. So the armrest is in that case better but the access to the cup holders more difficult :)
Lol, almost dropped my coffee! Christina climbs into the back seat with Miles - and puts on her seat belt! 😂 Well, that gets the Panamera Family Friendly Seal of Approval from me. Good to know that the Panamera can be selected with suspension settings that won't beat-up everyone on longer trips. Seems like Porsche hit the $100K club one year then quickly bounced into the $200K club without much effort. Park the Panamera Turbo S next to a Phantom and see the Rolls-Royce owner wish she could afford one! Thank you, Miles , for a fun "Living With" review.
7:19 Seat ventilation and/or Massage aren't available with these kind of seats as they're textile in the middle and suede on the outsides. If they were out of leather (full-leather package!) they would have the option for the front and the outer back seats to massage you and cool your back! I think it is around 4212.60€ on the German (European) spec, which would be 4.562,05 USD (directly converted, real US-price will be different). You can also choose both features individually and for front-seats only if you wish. ALSO: This car is missing many features you could have in the EU (don't know about the US).
This is the same one Doug Demuro was reviewing! You probably got it after him. One would think between the LA-Area and San Diego they'd have more press cars
Would you recommend this car for someone who is 6'6"? I ve not actually sat in a Panamera before. I know more about trucks; I currently drive a 2023 Raptor R with room to spare.
I drive a 2019 4 eHybrid and I love it! Less power than this top trim but still way more than enough. Unless they changed it with this new generation, there’s a way to select which kind of hybrid mode you want through one of the settings. My 2019 has a shortcut Hybrid button under the infotainment screen and from there you can select Hybrid Auto, e-Charge, and e-Hold, the last doing exactly what you explained @ 13:10. Could be another difference between US and Euro spec though.
Torn between a panamera gts or ct5-v bw manual . I know very different cars but need a family sedan and one friends and coworkers can fit it. Daily driver. What would you go with considering everything but costs?
The hair “clawclip” on the back of your head by is a real safety threat. I am being very serious right now: if you said it was very uncomfortable to even touch your head against the headrest with this thing on your head - imagine what it would feel like if you HIT your head in an accident with this tool on the back of your head. I saw the pictures of what this thing does to you even in a minor accident. You would have walked unharmed and go to work like nothing happened the next day after a minor fender bender OR have this “clawclip” surgically removed from your skull and facing serious consequences afterwards. Don’t want to be a mood killer after seeing this otherwise great video but hopefully would prevent some major injury to anyone watching and reading this.
Nice its quite Vehicle so I can Uber, Lyft, and Doordash in it without waking my neighbors... how I doing that as a job for a living while being able to get a Porsche .... MAGIC.... LOL
I wish porsche and bmw would start being real about their 0-60 times becuase the average joes these days only go by what on paper numbers say. 0-60 2.7 sec is insanity for a car like this.
I have an honest question here. I’ll try to make it quick. If you drive around in ev mode, then quickly accelerate, turning on the engine, wouldn’t that be bad for the motor, not being warmed up and all? Go easy on me, explain lol
I opt my car with sports exhaust and it is bond with Burmster. So I guess the engine noise will be magnified through the sounds system. This one sounds too underwhelming.
I hope she say that the Honda is a GM vehicle so reliability is not going to be Honda proof... its GM and just has a Honda Badge on it... Honda is taking a risk with that choice... LOL
it's the turbo S, it comes with alcantara, only the lower trims come with leather, and the back seats are only available as 2-buckets or a 3-seater bench
@@MrToastyYT turbo S comes with leather as standard, you have to choose their race-tex material for interior, just checked it. Probably Porsche Centre wanted test drivers to test porsches "special" race-tex, but leather is more luxurious and looks better for imo

Not insane when the numbers are what they are. Nurburing lap record holder.. 0-60 in 2.7 sec and quarter mile in the low 10s. Absolutely nuts performance for a car that isn't mainly a luxury cruiser with amazing suspension
