Brilliant clip from a brilliant episode. MV was red hot in Season 2! Just one thing, Odette wasn't murdered. She committed suicide :( (in the next scene, Gina confronts Nico at his father's house......"she wanted to see how he chills out after a rape"..........Gina tells him Odette "slit her wrists last night" :(
Jan Hammer's "Chase" music, used here during the car chase between Crockett and Arroyo, previously appeared in both the pilot and "Calderone's Return (Part I)". Ironically, despite the track's name and subsequent usage, it did not originally accompany a car chase scene in the pilot.
@@retro-dademusic6403 Yeah, I had never heard that "Cold Wind Blow" song until I saw this clip on TH-cam. Then, there is another channel that uploaded this song, based off of the TV show.
I remember bits of this episode. Forgot Sonny putting his hands on Gina. But I'm pretty sure they never had anything going on. Not sure why they did this in this episode if they didn't want to say Sonny and Gina would later be an item. Or were they? Loved the show. Could have been even raw. Seems they toned it down for prime time. They could have had the sound of Odette screaming without showing any violence..
Sonny and Gina had a "friends with benefits" situation going on in the first season -- which more-or-less ended a few episodes in when she realized that Crockett still had feelings for his ex-wife. From there, it goes away for a while, then comes back a bit more prominently in seasons four and five, where there are several moments when she gets jealous/concerned over Crockett's new romance(s). And concerning this scene, this is probably all they ever would have got away with. The first season had a couple of moments of sexuality (Tubbs and Angelina in Calderone's Return, Part II, for instance) that were cut down after their initial airing. Besides, you don't need to see everything that happens to know what transpired -- it's an effective and unsettling sequence.
This was such a sad episode poor odette
Right there behind the episode with Pam Grier and her little sister getting killed
I remember seeing this episode as a child and it stuck with me through the years this was so sad! I was 10 when I first saw this!

If I’m not mistaken actress is Lynn Whitfield (A Thin Line Between Love and Hate)
That's her forehead lol
Yep! Bingo it's here and still almost looks the same. Despite her age of course. 👍
The memories! Keep up the good work.

I can't believe the great Lynn Whitfield was on Miami Vice playing the 18-year-old way back when.

Yeeeeap
She was in her early 30s in this episode

Two great songs!
I'm thinking the same. Do you know the names of the tracks, or who the artists are?

What a scary creep! 😮 “10.000 dollar I just paid for you. I own you .” Yikes!😱
What's the name of the song in the beginning of this scene? It sounds like a cross between a "Yes" or "REO Speedwagon" tune...
"I'm So Afraid" - Fleetwood Mac (Lindsey Buckingham)
@@retro-dademusic6403 ~ Thank you. I would never have guessed that was Fleetwood Mac. But I like it...
