    Thank you for sharing, Mr. Glenn... that's just what I need it, a quick release bracket. My Minn Kota Powerdrive Trolling Motor, should get here this week. I had no idea wow to mounted on my Sun Tracker DLX 22! 🐟🎣

      don't get the bracket described above. It's a piece of crap. Get the metal slide in one with the wing nut on the side. I have my minkota mounted to this on and it works great and it's easy to use. The only reason I bought and returned the one listed above was becauses it was the only one Sportsman's warehouse had. I got the slide in bracket at cabellas. I will post the bracket number/model in a little while..

    I was wondering why the bracket wouldn’t line up in the puck! I had the same issue but no one told me that I would have to reconfigure the holes to line up with the locking bracket. Thanks for explaining that.

    I have the same problem with mine. It is tight as anything. I have a small hammer that I use on the boat to tap the pins into the holes each time I put my trolling motor on. Drives me nuts. I am fixing to get this mount and put on my Dad's bass boat so I can swap it back and forth. I think I will drill that one out to make it easier. You are right. It makes no sense!

    I bought one and got it mounted to my motor and went to test fit it before mounting the base plate. Tried all kinds of things and if its mounted to the motor the bars don't go into the bracket. Didn't want to drill the heck out of it because I'm sure they won't take it back. I'm hoping they will take it back at Sportsmans warehouse because I ripped the box and opened all the nuts and bolts package. Sooo disappointed.

    • @glennscatfishing
      @glennscatfishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea I hated I had to drill mine out, even though I didn’t have to drill it to much, things should be made to fit the way they are supposed to. I hope you can get your money back.

    Do you have to remove the trolling motor to trailer your pontoon? Seems like it would hit the front stops. Or do the trailer bunks center it before it hits those front stops? Getting ready to mount up mine as well, but I'm struggling with the idea of forgetting to remove the trolling motor before trailering the pontoon, thereby destroying the trolling motor upon impact with the front stops. I have front stops just like yours, Glenn.

    • @glennscatfishing
      @glennscatfishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dustin Anderson yes the bunks center it. I never had any problem with it hitting while loading back on the trailer. The only time I removed my trolling motor was to put the cover on the boat.

  • @209brandonb
    @209brandonb 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    There’s three different hole patterns you chose the wrong whole pattern I have the exact same motor and bracket you have and if you follow the directions correctly it tells you which bolt pattern to go with for which trolling motor since it fits three different models you put an extra bolt in the wrong pattern you don’t have to modify anything and it slides in and out it’s the easiest thing I’ve ever used. Maybe you didn’t get the directions or just missed that part of it but you’re making people think this isn’t a good product I put it on my jon boat and it’s literally the best upgrade I’ve ever used.

    • @glennscatfishing
      @glennscatfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was not trying to make people think this was a bad product, In fact I would recommend it. I was just being honest to how it went for me while installing it. As to the hole pattern, you may have a newer model than mine because there’s only 1 hole pattern on the one I have. Thanks for watching.
