4:55 that sigh is exactly how I feel playing 3s. I know I'm not good, but it just feels bad playing solo. When you finally go for something and get a sick setup your two ball chasing teammates are in Narnia getting big boost while the ball sails gracefully right in front of an open net.

I quite understand what ur saying. I am 1630 in 2s and was 1600 in 3s until I started to try my best mechanically and flashy. Now I’m 1430 in 3s and this is the exact thing u were talking about. Just be patient, play ur 50/50 and get the ball around - this way u can rank up in 3s easily

Do you know the chess method checklist of "checks, captures, attacks, and blunders"? Would be great to have a total strategic breakdown of what now runs wired in your subconscious. Sadly, getting smart doesn't just come with hours for some people like me xD. One thing I understand but rarely manage to get down like you is actually planning for recovery positioning before even committing. It will look like some action will work or I can recover, but once everyone's moved around field during my recovering, I end up totally out of position or just follow up with a bad commit because my mates expect me to help but I'm at a loss for how to pull it off right again.
The 2nd man getting beat on your side of the field= you're screwed is the kind of helpful insights i need more of. And yeah it's funny you say some pros can get carried by their mechanics and don't think. The other day I asked chatgpt if there were RL pros that got signed while being stuck in low ranks and it said yes it's possible. I wonder what it truly takes then. I don't like people so I haven't really put myself out there and I don't think I have the level to rival pros, but same time I got 3.5k hours and I think I put in a lot more efforts into understanding the meta than most and maybe having a consistent team would change the game entirely. I just don't like people enough to give it a go XD
Well since you ask about other game modes, I would love to see you try hard in hoops and cover the tactics and how you adapt to different angles and positioning and rotations.

well you still need consistency, and really good car control to make it solid into GC, and SSL is that plus faster from what i can gather, it might not be a mechanic in itself but its a vital skillset. And youre right, the second you leave defencive stance the ball finds your net, i dont know how it happens but it happens to me a lot too, but when you finaly get 1 player that is actualy back to defend in time, im impressed. I dont want to be impressed by that but its appearently an impressive feat to rotate, go figure.

Exactly like in this video , ppl never rotate behind you , they just cut rotation everytime. 3s is literally unplayable.

You said it yourself they know rentals and he's solid, you gotta prove yourself at start of the match because no one knows you not even in your own home jokes aside and warm up to be solid during the match or else it'll jus be chaos. Feel me?
@@DavidPerez-xc9ve for sure, gc2 is crazy being im like 2 games from gc3 and I bounce back and forth trying to reach it😂 everyone wants to be all rlcs thinking they gotta be insane but like rentals said you don't need to be insane, you whiff once in gc and my God people become toxic and lose their ever loving mind

I think it would be cool if you ran through 6s like you always do and do commentary over the gameplay afterwards
I just avoid 3s unless I have 2 friends on (rare) and even then we just faek around since 1 of them is a major ball chaser and teammate bumper xD still watching the series though >:)
Risk in rocket league is usually defined by how consistent you are with whatever you're going for, so basic mechanics. For newer players a ball rolling into the corner might be risky because they can't comfortably control it out of the corner, or are bad at hitting it off the wall. For advanced players the corner is super safe.
Ofc there's always risky things no matter the rank/your own skill as well.
You should do a university video on how to rank up in 6mans server maybe.

I have no clue what it is about this season, but teammates have fallen off. Trying to solo q 3s is almost impossible. After placements i lost 150 mmr trying to solo q. Only got it back when playing in party.

Yeah 3s is major tilt. At least with 2s you either ball chase like crazy or be a defensive god. 3s is just chaos

You are in no place to teach someone a game you yourself don’t even understand. None of the pro scene does. Which is why there are 14 year olds going pro. The coaches can’t even articulate core foundational 3s knowledge because they don’t know what they’re talking about.
