    Enjoyed this a lot, just to comment on the Bono hypocrisy thing. I think Bono became the posterboy for celebrity activism for a while in the 00s and the resulting backlash got directed particularly at him. The hypocrisy for me is not that U2 avoided tax, rather that they live such lavish lifestyles and yet decry poverty. One of the reasons that poverty exists is because the western world feels entitled to live lavishly. People like Bono are the epitome of this double standard. U2 own hotels and have a lot of business interests beyond music, they own multiple properties around the world. If you hate poverty so much sell your manshions. What´s so awful about living like the rest of us? They want to end pverty but remain filthy rich,

      I remember reading that to stay within environmental limits and to bring up the standard of living in developing countries, those in the west need to consume less so very fair point.

    interesting point about the bono hate, could never fully get my head around why some people have such a visceral dislike of him
