wooww Syifa, what an adventure, this was so, so special!! I know that cameras can't show completely how it actually is to be there in those endless wide-screen landscapes, the smells of the plains, the wild animals, the yurts (probably always a bit smoky), and the raw rides... no bridges across rivers, very few petrol stations and B&Bs, and food comes more often than not from hospitable indigenous people... and those high plains are so, so windy!!! ...God sent you an angel, when you needed one: Ray from Canada (I think), who became quickly your friend and teacher - what a perfect coincidence meeting him!! ...an unforgettable adventure, which you will carry with you in your heart, probably for the rest of your life! And I'm very grateful to have been able to witness it through your lens, your shared observations and your feelings... I can only say: thank you so much for this gift, Syifa!! 💖
Thank you Jorn! You are right that these cameras dont do enough justice. Ah, I felt so content when travelling around Mongolia, just missing proper hot showers after roughing it up for a few days haha. Yes you are right that Ray is a Canadian and indeed we quickly hit it off and travelled well together. Thank you so much for your kind and appreciative comment, Jorn!
What absolutely beautiful country. And you narrate and appreciate it so well. I've ridden motor cycles for 60 years and you did well. The bikes you were riding aren't the best for off road riding - and you didn't know the crossing well enough, so didn't realize your capacity. In Uni I spent most of my time reading of the Himalyas (sic) & Sinkiang & Mongolia, always a place of dreams for me - - thanks for bringing it to life.
Thank you so much Alvon! That's so cool that you have ridden for 60 years. Are you going to try doing the Himalayas or Mongolia in the future? I am debating whether to continue my riding journey in the UK, which means needing to start my riding test all over again ahaha. All the Mongolian ride similar bike to what we rode as it's just happen to be the most suitable and low maintenance in the country, you'll find spare parts everywhere. Unless you bring your own bike, I think most rental will provide this very same bike with a smaller CC.
@@SyifaAdriana Thank you, but I lived a good & strenuous life and am too far worn out to travel to Mongolia or the Himalayas. During my best years the area was administratively inaccessible - I would have had to have joined the Communist Party & I wasn't too eager to do that! Now I travel vicariously - as I have followed you on your adventures. Thanks & please keep at it, as noted it is very much appreciated -
What a breathtaking view. Miles and miles of untouched and pure wilderness. The curd piece that they offered you looks similar to the one that we have here in the himalayan state made of Yak milk known as Chhurpi
Girl, be proud of you. You were phenomenal throughout the ride and let me give a virtual hug to your formidable adventure ride companion, Ray. Everything on such elevation is challenging and you guys managed diligently ❤Be just proud of your achievements ❤
Thank you so much, Elisabetta! I am so glad to hear that. Yes, you are correct that everything on a higher elevation was harder. Riding felt slower and with the wind, it was an exhaustive day. Thank you so much again for being here!
Wow Syifa, what an adventurous off road motorbike journey. Glad to see that you enjoyed it with your friend Ray. Wish you both the best in the rest of the journey. God bless to both of you.
Thanks a lot, Emanuel! I am glad to have filmed this and shared with you. Thanks to my editor, these 2 motorbike videos have come to life! Thank you so much for your kind comment!!
Hello Syifa good morning. 😊 Oh no I'm sorry you got wet crossing the water. I hope you and your friend. Won't get sick. Take care your self and your friend. Have fun traveling.❤
hello, Adriana, since several years ago when I watched your solo trip vlog in Turkey until now I really enjoyed it and was very happy for you to share your extraordinary experience, even my dream of being able to go on that trip came from your vlog, sis... warm greetings from you Indonesia😍💗🫶🏻
While the book The Motorcycle Diaries (which you mention in passing) is about travel and its enormous value - my true belief; don’t forget another relevant book called Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. In that book the travel ends up taking a back seat to the deep introspective study of family relationships and why technology isn’t as important as living a better life. While it’s been 40+ years since I’ve read it, I’d highly recommend it as an epilogue to your fantastic riding journey across Mongolia. (… and congrats on conquering the rivers!)
Martin, I am impressed that you remember my mention on The Motorcycle Diaries. Did I say it on Patreon? Yes, you are right about all the above and thanks for your reference. I'll give it a look as it sounds intriguing!
Leaving another comment to remind myself that this is you, Gary 😂😂 Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment on TH-cam and please leave some more as it helps the channel tremendously! 😊
Kedves Syifa! Wonderful video, as usual from you! You are a very brave and exceptional lady, your husband is very lucky! Take care of yourself, may God be with you on your journey!❤
Attila, thank you so much for your kind words. My husband is lucky but I am also lucky to have his support hahaha I often need emotional support during these hard travel filming days so we are always video calling whenever possible. Thank you so much, Attila! I love following curiosity and courage, I think these two qualities take you far in life.
thank you so much, Cristovao! I am sure you'll enjoy this too. I am hoping to release a Mongolian guide in a near future so hopefully it'll come in handy to you.
Syifa, I had watched a dozen or so of your videos and I enjoyed all of them. Coming from Indonesia, you speak excellent English with hardly any accent at all! Impressive 👍
Aw, Mario, that’s so kind of you! My English used to have more of an American-leaning accent because of the movies, books, and TV series I consumed. Then it shifted slightly to an Aussie accent during the 2.5 years I dated an Australian haha! Now, I’ve been told I have a British-leaning accent, which I think is thanks to being with Dave for the past 6 years and living in England for almost 3 years now.
Thank you so much! I am glad to heat that you enjoyed watching this video. Yes we rode it back to the guest house we rented the bike from. I didnt film the last day of riding as I was exhausted and needing to switch off from working, but more importantly, needing a proper hot shower haha!

There is indeed no need for bargain. The locals live a difficult life and a little bit more (we are talking about $3 USD which is small change for you) makes big difference for them.
You are right about that! I think I regretted it after the bargain but I think we made up for it by buying so many stuff from her shop. The guesthouse often ranges for 40,000 to 50,000 Tugrik, but agreed with you that an additional 10,000 wont mean so much to us. Thanks so much for watching and for your comment!
Haha not trying to! I think any woman riding whilst making a travel video will always be referred to Itchy Boots channel as a trailblazer in the industry.
