This song has the same elements for a great Bond theme song. I'm just wondering what if Shirley Bassey made a version of this song. I think it would perfectly fit with her signature bass notes.

Spectre isn't a tragic movie, Casino Royale is - if anything. It doesn't NEED TO be a sad theme. Skyfall was way more sad. If anything Spectre is a movie that frees Bond, if anything it is empowering and liberating. God I can't get over how wasted this theme opportunity was.

Yup, by any measure this is better than Sam Smith's..thematically, musically, vocally. I feel the lyrics are a LITTLE too direct at times (the direct 00 references), but by and large this is far, far, far superior to the official version. You have my respect for the effort this took. I'm listening to all the fan music tributes and weeping with frustration.
