Awesome video, Emil. Love all the fog in the airbrush shots. I'm not very good with my airbrush, so hearing your process was super helpful! I always struggle with having the airbrush have a noticeable effect, and what I think I learned from this video is that because of the power of an airbrush, you really need to lean into what it can do: blends of orange to green on the hands to the torso of that troll, putting magenta in the shadows of a yellow squig, and more were all great examples and would be very challenging with a brush. Use the airbrush for what it's good for, not to imitate what a normal brush can already do well. Thank you!

I just bought your airbrush. I would like a video from you that scientifically shows how to use it step by step. How to put the paint in, thin and mix it, what pressure to spray at, how far to keep it from your model and how fast to move the brush, how long to let the paint dry before the next coat, how to switch to a different paint color and how to properly clean it when you are finished. This is a rare chance for a fully comprehensive guide considering you made this airbrush you are the true expert!

I started painting in April this year. My first big purchase was an airbrush and i haven't had an ounce of regret so far. It's brilliat for priming, basecoating and for paint scemes like Camo patterns on Bunkers or Tanks
Also it makes painting bigger areas SO MUCH easier for bigger vehicles for example
Great to hear i am really struggeling with cleaning fixing technical things... :( more trouble than fun. Any advises ? Any Videos/Pages with Airbrush cleaning workflow which you use? :)
@@hunkalloc The Infinity comes with a troubleshooting booklet, but in most cases I found that taking it apart, cleaning and putting it back together fixes most things.

Also with my cheap china made airbrush I could mix paints in the cup, with the Infinity doing that clogs it up instantly.
Would love one, but just dont have the space for an airbrush. Priming involves batching up some models and waiting for a mild, dry, not windy day on the weekend to go out into the street and do it, probably wont get another chance now before March/April
@@spacechannelfiver If you look closely you will see that it looks like Squidmar just uses his hobby table when he airbrushes in this video. You could probably even use your floor, just remember to put out some old newspapers first though. And use some kind of face mask too :)
Today i bought a new air compressor for my airbrush and i was thinking about finally buying a high end airbrush. I use a cheap fengda airbrush which has served me wel but since i use the airbrush more and more lately i want a high end one. So this was a welcome surprise and i immediately bought one. Been eyeing the airbrush for a while now in the sneak peak shots you put in the videos. I really liked the squid design and i was thinking when and if it would be for sale and now it is. Thnx Emil and thnx H&S for making such a stunning airbrush
I don't get over here much Emil, but I've watched you grow over the years. Dude, you have your own airbrush model now lol. This hobby has been so good to you man, but I've watched all that you have done for others and to further the love for painting, tabletop gaming, 40k in general, all you have done for the hobby.
From the quality of your videos, to the home that you and your family now own, all the changes in your studio with all the printers/paints etc, you have come so far over these years. Your honesty and transparent attitude and the standards you keep make you extremely relatable, that honesty makes us as consumers, hobbyist, fans of channel we trust your reviews and strategies because they are tested and come from a place authenticity. I don't get as much time to myself and my hobby as I like over the years, but I always find time to pop over to keep a hand on the pulse of gaming through your channel here. Just bought mine today, can't wait for it to come, I had the evolution which I love and had it for two years. The adjustment for the paint and air is what sold me. I feel like the shadow-tinting with an airbrush is one of the most commonly missed uses. It works fantastic with glazes, and this is just the same but faster.
Yeaaaa I picked one up... it's an incredible looking airbrush and gave me a great excuse to finally check out a Harder & Steenbeck. So win win.

Absolutely love this video. One of my favorites on airbrushing. It’s super clear and helpful and not just like this one recipe. Id love to see a video on shading with an airbrush! I feel like everyone says shade with an airbrush just use complementing colors or magenta without really taking about why/different possibilities.
Great tips! I just recently got a huge bunch of 10mm wood elves so it will be interesting to see how well these tricks work on smaller scale miniatures :)

What I noticed whit red is that it usually starts to look brown by adding black. I recently started adding in different tones of brown and the hue is really pleasant with this solution. I need less black, saturation is better and the secondary colour ties it nicely to the red

Really love the bright colours and variety while elements (like the green backs) tied them together. Would love an airbrush at some point, but wallet says no. Hopefully I’ll snag a beginner unit in the future and go from there. It is a lovely product though. I’m sure those who regularly use their airbrush will enjoy using such a beautiful tool. :)

Just ordered mine too, absolutely buzzing to use it on the new Stormcast dragons! When would you switch to the 0.2mm needle in this process and would you consider doing something on using the low air flow to achieve skin/leather textures as mentioned on the product info? Keep up the awesome work!

Finns det nån svensk sida som förklarar allt basic för en som vill börja airbrushing på miniatyrer? Jag har haft svårt att förstå vilka delar man behöver och själva kompressorn som behövs för att det inte ska låta så högt.

Maybe if you ask in the general thread instead of replying to my comment Emil will be able to see and answer your questions about airbrushing. However, I think the main things are the airbrush, a compressor and hose; then the thinner and so on is just for thinning paints and avoid clogging and so
In addition, Emil did a video about the tools needed for airbrushing a while ago

Wasn't sure where to do it, so ill do it here, I just want to say thank you Emil, today i received your brushes. I have been wanting to order them for a while and was finally able to afford them. They arrived in Canada 4 days early, which was a welcome surprise and i am going to test them out tonight ! looking forward to it.

You are the reason i have upped my painting game and went way out of my comfort zone months ago, so i appreciate the time you take to reply and to do all these videos.
Just want to say after about a week or so of using my new brush's, and for any one who may read this not sure if they should make the purchase, I am so glad I bought the brush's. What a difference they make, truly unbelievable step up from the army painter set I was using.

Question. When you spray things like details, do you have a filtration system up, to make sure that the ventilation is decent? Or do you just wear a mask for the smaller projects?
Looks amazing, been thinking about replacing my equipment to. Just checked and the combo with compressor seems to have sold out already! :(
What do you think about the combo with compressor? Have used the cheapest 40psi no-tank compressor for about 3 years on and off but think i can get a more fun experience with a better compressor to the airbrush. Have never tried anything else than what i have though. Is the combo-compressor a Good buy?
How do you thin the GW paints? I can't get the consistency right and it keeps clogging up my airbrush. Thanks!
Automotive base paint mix 8:6:1 at 40 psi worked great for me.
What do you do for ventilation with the airbrush?

The airbrush looks great but I would have loved to see an exposed needle on the back similar to the Badger Sotar 20/20. Sorry that price point is also crazy high, however... its like the coolest looking airbrush Ive seen lol
I'm getting treated to my first airbrush for Christmas from the wife. She laughed at me as I suggested adding one of these airbrushes to the mix, was worth a shot.

Does the included quick release fit badger quick releases?
I am on the quest for the tiniest possible airbrush as a new painter. I live in a tiny Swedish apartment and paint in our dining table getting things in and out of storage every time. I have looked in some battery powered compressors but it looks like they can't manage acrylics. Any suggestions?
how do you just make them look so perfect. like i try to replicate your techniches for 2 years and my models still look bad.

I should try this I am doing something wrong :( I have an iwata so it is a good airbrush but I cannot get a consistently thin line out of it in spite of thinning the paint pre/mixing it before I pour it in and playing with the pressure as well ... I can get big spots so far or base coating. It looks so easy in videos when others are doing it. Oh well I hope one day my friend who knows how to airbrush will visit me and he will figure out what I am doing wrong.

Hey robert, its a good compressor" For the work we do its like driving an nice volvo or audi. Well produced, good quality. There's always a porche or tesla that you can get, but to get to that step you'd need to pay about double :)

Not if you paint just a few hours per week. I used to spray in to a cardboard box and just wiped the table after. You'll have a little dried pigment dust on the table. :)
Any chance of re-releasing this airbrush? Or a new version? I missed pit on the first one since I hadn't started airbrushing yet. Now I'm hooked and want to upgrade!

How do you add game colour paints into your airbrush and dilute them in the cup vs doing it externally? Mine always get gummed up when I do that.
