I grew up living at Larch House and all the gardens were our playground.
    Had an amazing childhood
The ponds and pool were magnet for all the children of the Hollybush Est.
The rhododendrons were amazing when they flowered

Great video ! I didn't realise any of that was still there. I'll definitely go and have a look, thanks very much

I lived in Larch House for years.
All of the children who grew up there had a fantastic time.
We used to climb over fences and make dens.
There were ponds but one used to be a pool.
We got a lot of wood from there to make our bonfires where the school playing field.
We felt so lucky to have so much freedom to enjoy the woods .
We would walk for miles along the canal and end up in Radyr and passed the farm at the hospital and end up in Llandaff North or Heol Booker.

Great video. I remember the pond when I was a kid and the huge fish that were in there. I worked on Coryton House for its conversion into the School Ty Coryton.
