One underrated part of this excellent movie for me is Vincent D'Onofrio's physicality. Every single time he's onscreen, he absolutely looks and sounds like a monstrous alien wearing an ill-fitting human suit. He had no reason to go that hard for a light-hearted comedy but by God he did and I love him for it.
Reminds me of Frank Langella who played Skeletor in Masters of the Universe (1987). He went hard for a relatively low budget, silly movie, but it was awesome
Mark if a true professional. He came to the acting job to act. And he went all in. No phoning it in. Full metal Jacket, Adventures in Babysitting(as "Thor"-yet another marvel tie in besides this movie), and of course the Marvel character Kingpin in the Daredevil series(among other appearances). Entirely different characters you are still talking about after you're done watching.
Vincent D'onofrio did an amazing job acting as Edgar the Bug. The movement, the mannerisms... all of it. Props to the makeup department as well for making him look as though he (the skin suit) is decomposing more and more as time goes on.
I remember getting this movie on VHS as a kid. I was in the hospital for a surgery, and when I woke up from the general anesthesia my parents gave me this movie and an ice cream cone as a treat. I'm pretty sure I wore the VHS out.
Random fun fact. When K goes to get coffee near the beginning of the movie, the language spoken by the little wormy aliens is Huttese, the same language spoken by Jabba the Hutt in Star Wars
Hm... The worms are not only far, far away from home, they are also time travellers. Because Star Wars are playin' in the far past, around the time the dinosaur were eliminated from earth surface...
here's the popcorn joke you wanted: One day, a man is strolling through an open-air market place. He stops at one of the live animal stalls and buys a chicken thinking that he will take it home, wring its neck, clean it and make a nice chicken stew for dinner. On his way home he passes a theater that is showing a movie that he has been wanting to see and he decides to go in. But when the woman at the box office sees the chicken she tells him, "Sir, animals are not allowed in the theater. You'll have to come back some other time." Well, now, this guy really wants to see the movie so he goes around the corner, stuffs the chicken down his pants then returns to the theater and buys his ticket. After he has taken a seat and the movie starts, the chicken starts to get restless, so the man unzips his pants to let the chicken get some air. The woman sitting next to him leans over to her husband and whispers, "Honey, the man next to me has his pants open!" Her husband tells her, "Just ignore him!" "But Honey! His thing is sticking out!" Again her husband says, "Ignore it! You've seen one before!" "But Honey!," she finally says, "This one's eating my popcorn!"
"Let her go sh*t eater" Cockroaches are coprophages, meaning ... well what K said. Moreover; this might be a reference to the 1996 _X Files_ episode "War of the Coprophages" _Men in Black_ was released in 1997, so it's possible.

And then I was _rewatching_ it and then I wasn't watching it. And then I was rewatching it _again_ and then I wasn't watching it. And then... (You get the idea.)
I went to see this film with friends the night it opened in 1997, back home where I used to live in Queens, NYC. Biggest roar of laughter for the whole movie was when J comments, "So the 1964 World's Fair was a cover for an alien landing?" and K responds, "Of course. Why else hold it in Queens?"
Hello Whimsory. Just wanna say that you always do such a great job keeping us entertained and I really enjoy watching your reactions. Keep up the great work.

00:20 Wow, that was the very sweetest sneeze I've ever seen. Please definately watch part 2 and 3, you gonna love it and your audience (incl. me) gonna love watching you watching it. Part 3 is my favourite. The 4th movie is a complete different ball game. I personally like it, even if it's a little over the top.
Hello Miss Whimsory!😊 "Bless you"😉 The trilogy is worth watching. People seem to favor the first and third films the most. I don't acknowledge the existence of a fourth film. Ah, you're a fan of "The Worms".😊 Great reactions and outro to this fun sci-fi flick, Miss Whimsory!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
I love the music video for this movie. Which so happens to include "Mikey". My favorite line IN the movie is: "This definitely rates about a 9.0 on my weird shit-o-meter."
Another solid reaction. Your reactions are always worth waiting for because of how thorough your outtro is. Keep up the great work and I'll be looking forward to your next post. 👍🤙😊
Keep doing what you’re doing! You have very expressive eyes, smile, voice & personality. Keep going on auditions and one day you’ll definitely get hired. Good luck.
You know Whimsory there's nothing stopping you keeping a full watch along as a Patreon exclusive - no long outro, no YT edit. Lots of reactors do that for less popular films
Yes watch the next 2, lots of fun & answers some questions asked here. Favourite scenes; J's reaction to the pawn store owner's gun collection & saying he will be back to talk about the stolen goods & finding out his teacher was an alien, "I knew it".
That movie you never heard of at 30:56, "The Full Monty", you should watch that one too. It's another comedy, so you'll probably like it. :) Only one other reactor has watched it and I really want more people to check it out.
This is one of the most skilfully made movies in every way. Also one of the films that I like the most. And it's a movie you can watch again many times and it is still great and funny. :)
Hiya Whims, your reactions are on spot everytime... 00:20 that was the cutiest sneeze ever 🥰 28:23 no, I'm too attached to my family, I couldn't do it 😐 32:08 yes, both MiB2 and MiB3 are enjoyable movies......avoid at all cost the fourth.
Man, I really like your movie reactions, Whimsory. 😊 I basically grew up in a video store. Seen so many movies. 🍿🎥 I agree about Will Smith, can’t picture anyone else doing the part justice. I won’t comment on the sequels. Only because my memory is like yours. J/k, but I can’t remember them. I just got done watching your Momento reaction. Ever seen “In Bruges”?, with Colin Farrell? Bit dark, but good. Anywho, cheers till next time.

Men in Black II & III are actually worth watching and reacting to. It's one of the few movies where the sequels actually don't suck. They may not be 'as good' as the first one, but they still manage to keep the same vibe, humor and atmosphere, which is a huge part of what made the first movie so good.
For the record.... For many many moons, "uuugghh" is my 50/50 response for for any type of greeting someone gives, (I e "hi/hello") or a asks (I e. How are you doing today?") 😊😊

Vincent D'Onofrio's performance never gets enough praise. Tommy Lee Jones' dead pan delivery of lines is just brilliant.
Edgar the Bug is the most hilarious character in the movie imo
I couldn't believe he was that actor. He is amazingly versatile.
