Honestly my cats are what's keeping me sane right now. After all of this is over, maybe consider going to a shelter to adopt a pet. Some of the bigger ones also have birds and exotic animals if that's more your thing.

I just couldn’t have offered a great home to a pet, I‘m afraid. Well, maybe a smaller one (or several of them, rather), but I do prefer animals like cats or dogs, that bond deeply with their human. And there’s also the cost factor. All other things aside, pets can get sick and that can become really expensive, really quickly. I‘m hoping, to get there in the foreseeable future, though and I‘m so looking forward to it!

I know Micarah jokes abt how people view her videos for a false sense of productivity and not actually to follow the tutorials BUT!! Watching how she improvises with everything from materials and patterns to units of measurement and sewing spaces inspired the heck out of me. My mom is a professional seamstress and it just went over my head that I can sew anywhere and not in a designated big area. I just made myself three outfits for a weekend trip to family and I didn’t even leave my bed. I used a psychology book instead of a yard stick and kitchen shears instead of the fiskars. I got so many compliments on the pants I refashioned so obv it was a success.

Idk if this will get seen but as a bird lover that cage is *tiny*. There are some great cheap ones on Amazon and places like that (eBay too!). But that won't do it long term. Also, idk what food you have but seed mixes, in general, aren't great for parrots and if that's what you have, finding a pellet mix would be a better choice for his long term health.
Ollie you’re probably right on the food, but knowing her, the whole trailer is going to be his cage and she’ll let it free roam giving them more space than most birds with big cages

i really hope she researched those birds well though. like that cage for example isnt a very good one, i hope its temporary. its a very thoughtful deed, but unfortunately many animals are victims of unwitting neglect due to being bought on a whim-even if with the best of intentions. parakeets and cockatiels and similar birds are very unique pets and require a lot of attention.

Honestly my cats are what's keeping me sane right now. After all of this is over, maybe consider going to a shelter to adopt a pet. Some of the bigger ones also have birds and exotic animals if that's more your thing.

I would love, to have a cat or dog! It’s been my dream for years, really. But I live alone and work full time. And until recently, I also lived in the middle of a city. I just couldn’t have offered a great home to a pet, I‘m afraid. Well, maybe a smaller one (or several of them, rather), but I do prefer animals like cats or dogs, that bond deeply with their human. And there’s also the cost factor. All other things aside, pets can get sick and that can become really expensive, really quickly.
I‘m hoping, to get there in the foreseeable future, though and I‘m so looking forward to it!

I know Micarah jokes abt how people view her videos for a false sense of productivity and not actually to follow the tutorials BUT!! Watching how she improvises with everything from materials and patterns to units of measurement and sewing spaces inspired the heck out of me. My mom is a professional seamstress and it just went over my head that I can sew anywhere and not in a designated big area. I just made myself three outfits for a weekend trip to family and I didn’t even leave my bed. I used a psychology book instead of a yard stick and kitchen shears instead of the fiskars. I got so many compliments on the pants I refashioned so obv it was a success.

Idk if this will get seen but as a bird lover that cage is *tiny*. There are some great cheap ones on Amazon and places like that (eBay too!). But that won't do it long term. Also, idk what food you have but seed mixes, in general, aren't great for parrots and if that's what you have, finding a pellet mix would be a better choice for his long term health.
Ollie you’re probably right on the food, but knowing her, the whole trailer is going to be his cage and she’ll let it free roam giving them more space than most birds with big cages

i really hope she researched those birds well though. like that cage for example isnt a very good one, i hope its temporary. its a very thoughtful deed, but unfortunately many animals are victims of unwitting neglect due to being bought on a whim-even if with the best of intentions.
parakeets and cockatiels and similar birds are very unique pets and require a lot of attention.

@@chorbi1847 definitely. i'm also worried about the toy she made him though not being safe, and the virus going around. small bird lungs and immune systems are so weak, even just a bit of smoke can kill them really easily.
i really hope she sees these comments though, or someone else tries to help! i know she loves the hell out of her bigger bird companions but they're funnily really different to take care of than a type of parrot.
