    Listening to you is like a breath of fresh air, at least your experiences are a mixed bag, here in the US we are experiencing an insane situation everything seems to be negative, political, economic, social systems are becoming totally dysfunctional, the manipulation, trying to silence your voice if you do not agree with their ideas and ideology, controlling the educational system starting by manipulating small children forcing them to believe something parents do not agree with and feel helpless, we do not know what to believe anymore everything seems to be deteriorating at a very rapid speed same as Canada and Europe, you have little children you are a at the right place where family and moral values still matter.

      Wholeheartedly agree! The Western world is going through a dramatic decline, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop unless something catastrophic happens. We feel way safer here. We’d love to visit Italy and see some family with the baby, but honestly, it’s scary to leave El Salvador at this point.
      We had a call two weeks ago with someone who’s anxious to escape the U.S. The more you understand what’s really happening, the quicker you want to leave the Western world behind.
      Anyway, when are you going to join us in Bitcoin Country? Let us know and send us an email if you need any help 🤝

      Absolutely! There are trade-offs everywhere in the world, but living in freedom and not having to constantly worry about what the government might do to ruin your life the next day or some crazy person randomly stabbing your while walking on a mall is a great feeling. It’s worth the hustle and bustle of the city.

    As a Salvadoran, I don't like how the insane US car culture has been imported. Traffic here and everywhere can only be solved with decent alternatives to driving. Better pedestrian and cycling infrastructure and better mass transit are second thought here, like in the US, which frustrates me greatly.

    • @ElSalvadorInsiders
      @ElSalvadorInsiders  22 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Couldn't agree more! Unfortunately, it feels like Salvadorans have absorbed mostly the negative aspects from the US... from gang culture (which Bukele has thankfully eradicated), to junk food and unhealthy lifestyles, "dumb" car customizations, aggressive billboard advertising, etc. Anyway, I am not worries since these are all things that Bitcoin can and will fix!

    The reason parking back and not front, is because in case there's an emergency like earthquake is practical and easy to get out .

    • @ElSalvadorInsiders
      @ElSalvadorInsiders  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Not sure about that. 🤔
      I think if there’s an earthquake, the last thing you want to do is run to the underground garage and get in the car, unless the earthquake strikes right when you’ve just loaded up the car and are about to back out.
      But at that point, if your time has come, your time has come.

      Thank you so much, Marcos! Juliana was born in Brazil but moved to the US as a teen. I’m from Italy, but I lived in the US for eight years before moving to El Salvador over two years ago.
      Maybe we’ll make an episode about our journey!
      Anyway, if you're planning a visit soon, try to make it here for mid-November and be sure to attend the @adoptingbitcoin conference on the 15th and 16th.
      I know it's coming up quickly, but if you can make it, it’s the perfect chance to meet other Bitcoiners, network, and see the impact of the Bitcoin law in El Salvador. You can get more info and discounted tickets through our link: pretix.eu/galoy/ab24/redeem?voucher=SVINSIDERS

      Agreed, and thanks for watching! We also understand these are mostly first-world problems (we definitely got spoiled in Florida), and we feel fortunate to be in El Salvador.
      I’m confident Bitcoin and the prosperity it brings will fix these issues in the next 5-10 years 🇸🇻🚀

    Billboards: they should use electronic ones, like big screens, and present different announcements like a slideshow... and on both sides. That way, for each one mile one billboard, and don't put it so high as to block the scenery. Parking, well is a small country... that can't be helped, except have less space for cars to make more space for the ones that will fit. Parking "head out" is more logical so there is less chances to hit anyone or anything on the way out AND it is much easier to maneuver when leaving as oppose if you park head in. Head-in parking is only use here in the USA per law because of Insurance companies since they have it as a rule that you must do your due diligence to protect the most expensive part of the car that being the engine. If you park head out and someone hit your car, here in the USA the insurance companies have the right to refuse to cover your car. Look it up, it is in all auto insurance policies in small print. Outside the USA, if you have insurance, they don't have this rule. By the way, try it yourself: park head in and then park head out. Either way you till have to "back up" but parking head out is much easier to maneuver the car into the spot since the turning wheels are "out". When you are parking head in you must approach the spot from the middle or the far left (if you are parking to the right), but if you park head out you can do it from the middle or even closer to the right. Try it, you will see. Even with a bicycle you can see the reason of parking head out. Here is another example, what is easier when parking in between two cars on the right side of the street (or even the left side for those streets that are one way), backing up into the spot or going in "head-in"? Try it and you will immediately see why is easier to go into the parking spot with he turning wheels last (as in "head-out" or head last). The noise, yes, even in Mexico they honk for anything. Actually, they use honking as a signal language in many countries, specially India. WAZE is owned by Microsoft and it uses Google Maps, they switch to their maps databased after the acquisition, many many years ago. To make Google Maps reliable, download the maximum section of the map that it allows, and you can download several sections to cover the whole country. Then it is even more reliable than Waze which does not work when it runs out of internet data. Google Maps will work beautifully without internet signal with the downloaded maps.
    this is a certified hood classic

    I don't understand why you guys keep on pushing this Bitcoin thing. Three months ago I tried Bitcoin out by buying $1,000 (US) worth and as of today my balance is $750. It doesn't look like a sound investment to me.

    • @ElSalvadorInsiders
      @ElSalvadorInsiders  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hey, I totally understand your frustration, I have been there.
      Bitcoin’s price can move up and down a lot in the short term, and it can feel disappointing to see your balance drop like that.
      But here’s the thing: Bitcoin isn’t really about short-term price movements or being an "investment" in the way most people think of stocks or real estate. Bitcoin is better understood as a long-term savings technology.
      Its purpose is to store your wealth over time in a form that can’t be inflated away by governments or central banks.
      Unlike dollars, yen, euro and all fiat currencies, which lose value year after year due to inflation, Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21 million coins, and no one can print more.
      Over the long term, people who save in Bitcoin are protected from the erosion of their purchasing power.
      Yes, the price can be volatile in the short run, but over longer periods, Bitcoin has consistently preserved and even grown wealth.
      So, instead of thinking of Bitcoin as a quick investment for short-term gains, think of it as a way to safeguard your savings from inflation and a system where your money remains truly yours, without any middlemen controlling it.
      One strategy that can help you handle this volatility is called dollar-cost averaging (DCA). Instead of buying a large amount all at once, you invest small, fixed amounts regularly-like weekly or monthly. This way, you average out the price over time, buying more when the price is low and less when it’s high.
      DCA helps take the emotion out of timing the market and allows you to gradually build up your Bitcoin savings without stressing about the day-to-day price swings.
      I hope that helps clarify things a bit! Hang in there - Bitcoin is a marathon, not a sprint.

    Interesting... In los Angeles the traffic is horrendous. We have air pollution, the air is quality is destroyed by underground sewer line gases escaping. Lots of trash can be seen on the side of the roads. People don't respect stop signs

    • @ElSalvadorInsiders
      @ElSalvadorInsiders  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      We’re aware of how fast Los Angeles, like the rest of California (and the US), is degrading, sadly.
      Here, things are improving. There is still a lot to do but the trajectory is clear!
      The new American dream is in El Salvador 🇸🇻🚀
