Apparently when RDJ was at his low point, he got a burger from Burger King and as he was eating it realized how low he had fallen and decided to turn his life around, so he did it with Tony Stark right before he turned his life around.
I recommend the Pitch Meeting for Cats. It's an absolute trip, and Ryan George even said recently that it was one of his personal favorite pitch meetings.

Marvel took a huge loan (half a billion) on the prospect of making 10 movies, essentially as a Hail Mary move to save the company. When things took off, they just kept rolling with it, and here we are.
You ever watch any of the HISHE (How It Should Have Ended) videos? Pitch Meeting, HISHE and Honest Trailers by Screen Junkies are my go-to funny videos about movies to always watch that always make me laugh hard. The batinthesun videos are also so cool to see. I love the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Pitch Meeting. The Pitch Meetings for The Batman, She-Hulk, No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness are incredible, IMO.
Gotta say, it makes me a little sad, that Nobu no longer introduces himself as Nine-Tail Brush. Not that 'Nobu' is any way inferior... Just feels like a poetic side of his identity was stripped away by some commenter.
They planed to make the first 4 movies + Avenger. They added a second Iron Man due to it's success. That's evident by the post credit scene in the first Iron Man. Iron man is one of the most important Avenger in the comics... But the Avengers themselves were always a B-Tier group in terms of popularity. Marvel was stuck with them because they sold their more popular characters to avoid bankruptcy (Spider Man and X-Man). The Burger bit actually wasn't product placement. Downey Jr had a problem with drugs, and the moment he decided to get help was when he was at a burger king. So he associates that as a turning point. By the time of the movie his career had pratically ended, and he was just getting better from rehab. He identified with the character, that in the comics has an alcoohol problem.

What Ryan George does is actually funny, just not so much here about Iron Man. What he did about *Twilight* ... I laughed to tears 🤣 Definitely look!!!
The funniest part about this is when hes like so the bad guys gonna have the same powers and we're gonna keep doing that and it's gonna work out for us and he was like yeah and I was like oh my God that is so funny cause that's literally what they do for like the 1st 6 Marvel movies
They already had the MCU franchise planned out when they put out Iron Man. The idea actually started a decade earlier but Marvel Studios wasn't sure if a wider audience, not just fans, would be interested in a series of live action superhero movies. Especially superheroes they didn't know, so not Batman, Superman or Spiderman, which has always been popular and constantly remade. So they made the movie Blade, which was fairly obscure, to basically test run how responsive it would be and it did so well, they did Blade II and Blade III. All the Blade movies, especially the first two, were box office hits financially AND the initial funding for the MCU actually came from the profits made off of the Blade franchise. Of course there were other studios backing them once Iron Man started filming, but they had to have pilots, storyboards and budgets ready (not just for Iron man but the other movies they wanted to make too) to convince them to invest in a long term project like that and the money they got from the success of the Blade films helped the MCU get that support. And not just the money but the fact that Blade WORKED was the proof they needed to get some studios onboard. Not to say the MCU isn't amazing on its own and far surpassed Blade in many ways, but I often say, 'there is no MCU without Blade', in Chadwick's voice, of course. But yes, it was already planned out in 2008, which was why they were cautious about going with Robert because there was the fear of can he carry through to all the other Iron Man movies and the Avengers movies in between. But what people don't know is that when he started to film Iron Man he had already been clean for four or five years by then! He was in a few movies here and there as supporting characters, I remember he was in Gothika, and I was surprised to see him there because everyone thought he was done with acting at that point. It just goes to show if you give someone the chance to turn their life around, if they want it badly enough, they will surprise you.

It wasn't bad... but it was an important moment for RDJ to realize that eating Burger King was one of the best things he had done for himself lately.
