Dr. Lisa you are a true hero! You are not crazy for moving into the community you serve, rather you are a hero! I think you are so spot on about the impact of sustained stress on our general health and our immune systems. Thank you for what you do. We really need to amplify this discussion.

Loss of a sibling has been, for me, a uniquely difficult loss. We grew up with our brothers and/or sisters who are part of the fabric of our lives.

“Touch and tech”, is just one of the take-always from this fascinating interview. Thank you, both. Also, my sincere condolences to you both. I lost my brother when he was 17 years old, I was 14, and I am not truly over it. That’s okay. My poor parents, it is such profound loss. I think it’s ok to say you cannot or will not accept the unacceptable. I can’t know yours’ and families’ grief, but I share that to encourage you to take your time, cope on your own terms. 💕

Anxiety and depression are often a normal response to an unnatural situation. Getting back to normal will be hard for many, if possible at all.

People are surprisingly resilient. I have great faith we will see people learn from this experience. Many will prosper, others seem unchanged and a few will struggle.

Dr Lisa Fitzpatrick makes some compelling points regarding stress and stress affects on the body and mind, medically and mentally.
She has made some interesting observations and connections.
I think people would be a lot healthier and happier if many more doctors had such depth of interest in their field.
What a wonderful person and doctor Lisa Fitzpatrick is.

Thank you for a wonderful discussion. I've worked as FNP-BC, with the underserved for over 20 years. They need simple health education to help them be a partner in their care. I've gotten in trouble with management about spending extra time with my patients. Love how you make it personal with your patients.
