Singing the Figaro aria by the Barber of Seville or even the Colline de La Boheme aria (which I recently uploaded by Cesare Siepi) Del Monaco shows and proves that the tenor must sound like a trombone in his medium / low register, he was an artist wonderful and very complete musician. @@Oldschoolsingers I would argue that not all tenors need to sound like a trombone, Melchior was pretty good sounding like a trumpet.
