honestly, you don't need to attempt just whips every day to land it, I just naturally learned it in 3 months by chilling and cruising at the skatepark :)

I’ve learnt whips in a week and now I’m pretty consistent flat but I still can’t really catch it idk if I should continue practicing to learn the catch or other tricks 😭

not necessarily, you can whip with your back and catch with your back, but it's easier to whip with your front and catch with your back. I learned it by whipping with back and catching with back though. but, you need to quickly bring your back foot to the deck if you're doing it that way. really depends on what you're comfortable with. good luck landing it :)

yeah, I do it by flicking with back and catching with back, its easier to flick with front and catch with back though. depends on what's more comfortable :)
